  1. Yes, I think common sense and the price will need some careful thought. The amount I could potentially throw at a new painted body could be spent on lots of other upgrades for the Coyote.
  2. Getting pricey but ..... https://www.fastrax-rc.com/index.php?_route_=body-shop/fastrax-rockee-pick-up-rear-cage-hardbody-yellow
  3. The look I would like is more like this .... is there likely to be a bodyshell out there like this for the coyote? It's got to be pre-painted though - I know from the get go I will make a total hash of trying to paint one! https://www.elitemodelsonline.co.uk/Cars/By-Manufacturer/Gmade/134738-/GMADE-110-GS02F-BOM-TC-KIT?fo_c=3984&fo_k=5e726b7639cdd5d1a577a615f0b704b8&fo_s=gplauk&gclid=CjwKCAjwi6WSBhA-EiwA6Niok_1K9QgSzAPpWcVWTdKlgh9gi5oj0rMb8NGKhIwKSnpDScv5fBA6BxoClGoQAvD_BwE
  4. Thanks. Not a huge fan of the look of the Lynx - any other options?
  5. Ahhh, all these beautiful bodies! Enjoying my coyote but ….. the blacked out windows are an irritation as far as scale looks go. What choices do I have re: alternative body shells? Really like the Range Rover but are there other options that fit the stock set up? Sadly , my lack of painting skills would need me to buy a pre-painted shell.
  6. Guess what arrived today. Just unboxed and thought some pics would be worth uploading before tomorrow’s test run (may not be this clean again?) - weather permitting. Great first impressions and loving the scale look! No doubt there will be upgrades in due course. @Exe_RC28 - now that is a look I like! Some real inspiration there.
  7. Thanks and sorry for all the questions 👍
  8. Conscious I’m in budget so could purchase a NIMH battery - any suggestions - my LIPOs are 5000mah - a bit heavy / too powerful for the Coyote?
  9. OK thanks - noted re: setting up to run lipo . Once again thanks for the support👍
  10. Yes definitely Deans - can I get a connector like this one - I’m embarrassed to say but my lack of soldering skills could result in a catastrophe. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/core-rc-tamiya-f-to-t-connector-m-lead-1331480
  11. Coyote ordered. 😀 I have some 2s LIPO batteries - will I need a connector to convert from NiMH on the Coyote to LIPO?
  12. Thanks @Jack Reacher appreciate the feedback. Close to clicking the buy button on a Coyote!
  13. Right….. firstly, thanks to all for taking the time to reply to my post and the suggestions you’ve made. The Gmade rtr Bom looks amazing but having spent a small fortune and sold a fair amount too I need to air on the side of caution and keep in the good books with you know who. FTX Geo is nice however I’m liking the more classic looks of the Carisma Coyote or the Carisma F150. There seems to be plenty of discussion on the forum about them too and endless tune ups etc which is appealing. A couple more questions: Is there any difference in performance when crawling between the Coyote and F150, with the Coyote having a shorter wheelbase? Am I paying extra for the F150 because it is a branded shell? Any suggested tune ups from the outset of just run it for a while and see? What is the radio like on the Carisma rtr models? Assuming I could replace in the future if I wanted? Many thanks.
  14. Fair comment Stretch - ahhh decisions. Now I really like the look of the FTX Geo!
  15. Just reading your comments @ Jack Reacher and noted some issues with quality control on the rig you bought. Hence me leaning more towards Axial and Enduro however I’m no expert so happy to look at suggestions.
  16. Looking for a new scale crawler - lots of logs and rocks in the back garden to create a crawler course. Budget of £350 top end. Really like the more traditional scale look rather than a full blown rock crawler like a Gatekeeper etc. Have been looking at the SCX10 II Honcho but wanted advice on whether this would be suitable or something alternative e.g. ELEMENT RC ENDURO TRAIL TRUCK SENDERO HD RTR A kit build isn’t an option - work committments and all that. Thanks in advance.
  17. Update ..... took the rear wheel apart, checked the tyre seating, removed and reset the wheel screws - certainly a lot less wobble.
  18. Thanks for the recommendations. I ended up ordering the Enduro Trailwalker. Loving the scale look and surprisingly quiet motor when running. Interestingly, see my OP re: the Axial Wraith 1.9 I’ve still got what appears to be some wheel wobble in the model too. I’ve tried swapping the wheels and checked the wheel nuts are tight. Made no difference. More I think and look at it the more I think it could be a tyre issue but I’m going to run it and see what happens.
  19. Thanks m4inbrain that helps and thanks for the other suggestions. I’ll give it some more thought and have another look at the reviews but I’m leaning towards the Sendero, assuming someone has it in stock.
  20. Just watched videos again on YT and really am tempted by the Enduro Sendero - seems quite a lot of the axial parts are compatible too
  21. Accessories wise I was also thinking of things like fuel cans, shovels and that kind of thing.
  22. Thanks for the suggestions. An additional question was going to be about parts availability. I didn’t mention but did like the look of the Enduro Sendero but not sure how easy it would be to add the scale looks I’m after. Is fitting accessories reasonably straightforward? I watched something on YT and to fit a bed in the back involved cutting the body shell. I see you can get a Tx4 Expedition pack which I like the look of and the TX4 Spirt seems to get good reviews. Sherpa looks great but with it being relatively new it would be good to see a few more reviews. Unfortunately the boss (wife) has capped the budget so whilst I like the look of the RC4WD it’s out of the price range at the moment. £400 is pushing the upper limit. Ahhhh decisions, decisions
  23. Looking for some ideas for a scale crawler. Had a nightmare with an Axial Wraith recently (posted on here) which has resulted in me getting a refund. I really like the scale look with accessories etc but appreciate these could be added at a later date in order to get a decent vehicle. Equally if I need to update parts in the future I’m happy to do that. Budget of £350 but could stretch to £400. Needs to be RTR - just don’t have the time to do a scale build. I’ve been looking at the Traxxas TX4 Sport, the Axial SCX10 II 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited CRC (although sourcing one is difficult with the new SCX10 III now out), as well as the Carisma SCA-1E Ford F-150. Ideally it would be good to have a vehicle that I could replace the body shell on at some point in the future. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
  24. Thanks for the quick reply Gampla. The retailer wants me to swap the wheels over and then video again. If the damage was a result of me crashing it etc I’d happily look at repairs / other solutions but not straight out of the box. I would expect it to work with minimal adjustments. Really frustrating when all you want to do is just get out and drive.
