  1. Yes, my parts arrived within 2 weeks and I saved loads of money... I bought 3 different parts for the same price I bought one part in the UK... plus you get to choose between 4 different colours instead of blue (Which personally I do not like). I ordered the dark grey colour and then ended up stripping my blue parts of the anodising with 'Mr Muscle'... If you look at my earlier post with the photos, the majority of the parts were bought from Ali Express.
  2. Aluminium servo savers can be found on Ali express, search for VXR Octane and it will throw up loads of parts and they are all compatible as it is a re-branded Outlaw, I've bought bits from there and they are CONSIDERABLY cheaper...
  3. Unfortunately you won't find spare replacement parts, you will need to buy the full assembly... I sealed mine very well with loctite 243.
  4. I used 5200mah on my factory brushed set up and it was great... especially at lower speeds with the drag feature engaged, which is what I wanted.
  5. I've never run a fan on a motor either, just om my ESC... What battery are you using?
  6. @DartmoorTrails, thanks for the comment👍 The driveshaft was a cheap Chinese item ordered off ebay for £7.99 delivered within 2 weeks, no problems so far, I just ensured I used Loctite 243 to thread lock the grub screws... I can't get to the link right now, but I can send later if you want it? Do you have a link to the traxxis items? thanks. Steve.
  7. Side pipes... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-10-Scale-RC-Body-Shell-Stainless-Steel-Twin-Dual-Exhaust-Pipe/373128170042?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  8. Yes mate, but you had to mod it and the front bumper of the outlaw, not too tricky though... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-Metal-Front-Bumper-for-1-10-RC-Crawler-Car-Axial-SCX10-Traxxas-TRX4-D90-C-W2E/324250367331?epid=14035197176&hash=item4b7ed3f563:g:3TQAAOSw4i9fKVh1
  9. I've ordered some parts, how long did they take? Here's a few very quick pics of mine so far, still have beadlocks to add, more Ali parts a d a few finishing touches.
  10. You can go to a 540 motor no problem, this is a far more common motor, also the turn count is not critical... just ensure you get the right shaft diameter and stick with the original 17t pinion... but ensure there are no nasty sounds coming from the drive gear anywhere... it is hard to diagnose the problem without actually seeing or hearing the car... but for definate you should not break it running around on grass.
  11. Are you happy with the speed of it? other than it breaking down of course, if so look at changing the motor to another 15 turn motor from another manufacturer with a 3.175mm shaft, these start of cheap at approximately £10... Also have you meshed the new motor with the spur gear? If you run the car with the wheels off the ground is there any excessive wearing or grinding noises? Runni g it around on grass certainly should not break it...
  12. How are you using the car ? Slower or higher speed runs? What are you wanting from it? Are you jumping and then stabbing reverse/brake etc? It's odd because I ran my stock brushed on stock esc (with drag brake activated) with zero problems on a 2S lipo.
  13. I bought the 2600kv motor, exactly as per your link... I did a bit of adjusting one esc and it's not so bad now...
  14. I know this is dragging up old history, but does anyone know or can confirm l could use the spare rear arm ball knuckles from the Carnage set on the DIY rear sway bar set up ... I know the actual bar will be binned and replaced with ss 3.2mm rod... Thanks, Steve.
