Id look at something like this:
https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/power-hd-servo-hd1812mg-waterproof-18kg-0.12sec--1330612
Fitted this today, abit of a learning curve but I feel I learnt something from it. The truck is still a pile of junk but now the steering works.
Also put a new brushed motor with a 19T pinion in the truck, I have a feeling the motor is getting too hot and won't last long.

Only thing to be wary of is the number of teeth on the spline...just check👍
I've ordered the servo @Kpowell911 kindly linked its the correct 25T spline.
Thank you.

Some help please am looking for some advice on my son's armma granite 'Voltage ' it's a brushed 2wd cheap as chips truck but he loves it.
The servo is goosed and I like a cheap upgrade but don't want to purchase the wrong servo. (Google mentions possible esc problems if I fit the wrong servo)
I'd happily send £20 on fixing it but to be honest it's a money pit lately and father Christmas needs to up his game this year.

My motor at the time was only about a year old. Ran a 2s 4000mah pack with no issue and then brought the car back for a 10 mins cool down. Put in the 2nd pack and it moved about 2 metres before stopping and flashing. No smoke or fuss but the motor was totally dead.
Finally took a look at this granite 'Voltage' today it was the motor, the pinion gear wouldn't come off the old motor(well it did with a blow torch but the grub screw isn't moving).
Ordered a 19T pinion am going to try but it could over heat and destroy another motor.

My servo was jibbering on mine turns out it was the esc so will be sending an email for a new one. The truck was used once.
I've spoken the company I purchased it from and they are more than happy to fix it for me, I shipped it put today.

Try swapping the ESC and servo plugs on the rx to fault check. That will confirm if its the servo.
Will try am abit clueless to be totally honest, Could it be the servo saver?

Unfortunately my rival mt10 steering has stopped working is this simply the steering servo? The motor runs but no movement to the steering.
Is it worth trying to claim under warranty or pointless?
Thank you for any advice shame as its definitely our favourite truck.

On a generic ESC in one of my cars the blinking red LED means a failed motor. Had it earlier in the year and a new motor got it going again.
Worth looking at the motor isn't old but definitely worth checking out.
Thank you for your advice.

I've tried moving the throttle trim in every way possible, the battery seems fine when I always storage charge them afterwards but will double check.
Thank you.

I shall pm you tomorrow Ant.p thanks.
Changed the esc for a new arrma one today, it's just the same red light blinking away.
Not sure what to check next, other than if there's room in the bin.

Don’t give up too easily! My comments are based on little more than a hunch as I haven’t personal experience with the granite.
IF it’s the esc, a replacement doesn’t need to break the bank. In fact, if it the brushless model (believe it is?) I have a few spare from different models. I could send you one for a small fee if you like? Would require some soldering, but nothing major. It is a very basic brushed motor that's says on the box 30mph(maybe down a very steep hill with a gale force wind behind it) Thank you for your offer.
If I decided to give the pile of junk a second chance and changed the esc would I have to get anything else?
Again thank you!!!

Could just need to calibrate the throttle/reverse/neutral positions. I’ve had it happen (with different esc’s) and resolved it this way.
I shall try and find the manual and give it a go thanks. Google just confuses things.

Is your throttle trim set to neutral ?
Yes I have set the trim unfortunately that doesn't help.

Have you tried using threadlock on the wheel nuts? I have put it on mine but not had a chance to actually run the thing yet unfortunately.
I didn't want to use thread lock really as ideally I could use the badlands on other trucks but if it keeps loosening the wheel nuts I'll have to.

Did the Badlands tyres make much difference to the handling (not had a chance to run mine yet)? They look grippier than the Associated tyres.
Lots more grip and they look better also which is a plus point. Handling wise nope it still handles like a school bus, great fun tho. My body shell is now looking scruffy but it's definitely getting used.

Fixed the Rival mt10 today replaced the wheels with proline badlands and yep the spur gear was toast so actually surprised myself how straight forward it was to fit. Winner winner chicken dinner....
Have a new respect for the Rival after I took it out for a bash taking 10ft grass embankment jumps with easy.

Well, an update on my rear diff rebuild... Schoolboy error to say the least! Having stripped the back end to get the diff out, stripped that and found nothing broken, it was only when I put it back together and put the left rear wheel back on I realised it had stripped the hex drive in the wheel. So the loss of rear drive was just the driveshaft spinning all along - doh! I just jumped to the conclusion of a diff problem too quickly.
Will take note of Bertberr's comment about the other wheels (and keep my wheelnuts tight and checked...)
Snap thought I'd stripped my spur gear but nope it was the hex on a wheel.
Have you replaced the complete wheel set?
If so what with please?

I've replaced the motor with the same as I used last time a 550 brushed recommended by modelsport

The old pinion was a 15T now its a 19T as guessing am pushing my luck?
