  1. I've replaced the motor with the same as I used last time a 550 brushed recommended by modelsport https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maverick-MM-550-15T-Brushed-Motor-150040-/255164758084?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 The old pinion was a 15T now its a 19T as guessing am pushing my luck?
  2. Fitted this today, abit of a learning curve but I feel I learnt something from it. The truck is still a pile of junk but now the steering works. Also put a new brushed motor with a 19T pinion in the truck, I have a feeling the motor is getting too hot and won't last long.
  3. I've ordered the servo @Kpowell911 kindly linked its the correct 25T spline. Thank you.
  4. Just removed the servo yes it's a 3 wire 5kg thank you for the help.
  5. Some help please am looking for some advice on my son's armma granite 'Voltage ' it's a brushed 2wd cheap as chips truck but he loves it. The servo is goosed and I like a cheap upgrade but don't want to purchase the wrong servo. (Google mentions possible esc problems if I fit the wrong servo) I'd happily send £20 on fixing it but to be honest it's a money pit lately and father Christmas needs to up his game this year.
  6. Finally took a look at this granite 'Voltage' today it was the motor, the pinion gear wouldn't come off the old motor(well it did with a blow torch but the grub screw isn't moving). Ordered a 19T pinion am going to try but it could over heat and destroy another motor.
  7. I've spoken the company I purchased it from and they are more than happy to fix it for me, I shipped it put today.
  8. Will try am abit clueless to be totally honest, Could it be the servo saver?
  9. Unfortunately my rival mt10 steering has stopped working is this simply the steering servo? The motor runs but no movement to the steering. Is it worth trying to claim under warranty or pointless? Thank you for any advice shame as its definitely our favourite truck.
  10. Worth looking at the motor isn't old but definitely worth checking out. Thank you for your advice.
  11. I've tried moving the throttle trim in every way possible, the battery seems fine when I always storage charge them afterwards but will double check. Thank you.
  12. Changed the esc for a new arrma one today, it's just the same red light blinking away. Not sure what to check next, other than if there's room in the bin.
  13. I shall pm you tomorrow Ant.p thanks.
  14. It is a very basic brushed motor that's says on the box 30mph(maybe down a very steep hill with a gale force wind behind it) Thank you for your offer. If I decided to give the pile of junk a second chance and changed the esc would I have to get anything else? Again thank you!!!
  15. Looks like it's broken then, I dislike spending money on this truck it really isn't that good being a low budget starter truck. Big thank you for your help.
  16. I shall try and find the manual and give it a go thanks. Google just confuses things.
  17. Yes I have set the trim unfortunately that doesn't help.
  18. Please could I have some advice before I loose hope and bin our son's arrma granite voltage, the steering still moves but no power to to motor. The esc just blinks red, am not sure if it's dead or needs a reset, the esc is a mega 390068 any help is very much appreciated.
  19. I didn't want to use thread lock really as ideally I could use the badlands on other trucks but if it keeps loosening the wheel nuts I'll have to.
  20. Took the Rival out again today with the proline badlands on was doing well until a wheel nut came loose mashing up the hex, thankfully that a easy fix with these wheels. Definitely recommend, I shall try them on my Big Rock next.
  21. Lots more grip and they look better also which is a plus point. Handling wise nope it still handles like a school bus, great fun tho. My body shell is now looking scruffy but it's definitely getting used.
  22. Fixed the Rival mt10 today replaced the wheels with proline badlands and yep the spur gear was toast so actually surprised myself how straight forward it was to fit. Winner winner chicken dinner.... Have a new respect for the Rival after I took it out for a bash taking 10ft grass embankment jumps with easy.
  23. Snap thought I'd stripped my spur gear but nope it was the hex on a wheel. Have you replaced the complete wheel set? If so what with please?
  24. Randomly watched afew over the past few days, he is heading for a heart attack in less than a year.
  25. I haven't the time to fix the rival mt10, it'll be afew weeks. Hopefully your kit will arrive soon and you then can give me some tips.
