hobby shop will replace the universals i got , that is a nice move on their part. Ive heard of a few issues with newer hobao drive shafts falling apart. Hope the news ones hold up, Ive installed the PBS rear end & made the wheel base narrower to accommodate some shorter uni shafts for now..

anyone know what other drive shafts i could use on a hyper 7? cvas , cvds or uni i got the new universals part H87354 & one fell apart on its second run. these new unis bones are black & much thinner than the original part that came with my PBS .. Lost £30 on getting them 😕 Fronts are 125mm i think what other buggy's driveshafts could i order? thanks alot if you could help me out.. front end is PBS rear end is standard

i made mud guards & attached them to the rear arms, & i fitted mesh into the body case to block off the old engine holes stops grass getting in. Guards seem to give the ESC the added protection grass still finds its way into the Max 8’s fan & into the heat sink fins.

Hi , done my hyper 7, using vse mount losi tray max 8 esc ezrun 2200kv 42/74 19 tooth pinion 46 spur 4s lipo 60c its fast & fun 6s lipo 45c its crazy power.. lockdowns stopped me from going to a bigger spot to test. 4s temps are great with 19t on 6s temps go up quick with 19t i trimmed a few mm off the battery trays esc section. hope that helps

Hi Vse Owners I just got myself the Vse motor mount 90057. Can you help me & tell me what the O ring is used for that comes with mount. Will it sit between mount & motor? Im converting my hyper 7 PBS. i cant see its use in the Vse manual Thanks

i caved & got myself the Sse / Vse mount ! i found a good cad design for a mount from 2012 , it looks like the one from the hyper 8 conversion kit . My CNC practical experience is zero . i got as far as exporting the cutting paths to gcode , but no testing. Can any one tell me what the Oring that comes with the Sse mount dose? guessing it goes between motor & mount?? I can confirm the centre diff mounting holes on a hyper seven align perfeclty with the vse mount , you will need to drill a third hole in chassis for third screw! (i've not done that yet) i dont have my electronics yet so not tested the mount.

dose any one have any more info on the drawing i've attached , has anyone used these dimensions to cut there own mount? i've got a friend with a cnc machine & im going to try a few test pieces with a cheap material ( wood) get sizing correct. any help or suggestions would be nice. ( on the mounts sizing & drawing)

fits like a glove ! much less hassle & expense for me , these things take a bashing ! Thanks for the help & suggestions il use my spider as a back up , its case seems worn and slightly bent making it not spin true, & the old bearing housing seems worn.

The Vse mount you mention is this? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobao-hyper-ss-vse-motor-mount/rc-car-products/372374 It looks to me it also has 3 mounting points to the chassis? that would mean drilling the 3 rd hole on the hyper 7 chassis. the amazon one I've linked is 2-3 mm taller for 14 squid i'm taking the risk 😂 not sure on 40 notes for the vse mount dose look nicer & maybe stronger , my cars old & i'm budget bashing. Hope it works out with meshing up the pinion & spur.

Two of the chassis mount holes are spot on , cant make out if there’s a third mounting point , but if there is, might have to drill a new hole in chassis, or go with just two mounting points. Hello All, I have one of the six gears broken , i was hoping someone would know what the sizing for these gears are or what alternative gears i could use & were in UK I could come by these six small gears. Im rebuilding the diff , new outer orings new screws & drive shaft pins. Or is there a different type of Diff i could use on a hyper 7 ? i'm not racing just general bashing on grass, tarmac & some dry flat mud. My last resort would be to order a whole new diff but they do seem pricy ! I have searched the forum for a answer & i'm sure this questions been asked ( im prob just not searching quite properly) sos if that is the case

im also looking for a motor mount for my hyper 7 & delivery seems long & not sure how things are in china/far east right now, I have read a few posts on here , somone was selling them but it was a few years back , if your still about please let us know. My center spider diff needs replacing also & finding that or the spiders gears is quite hard! im looking at the standard center diff for around £25-£30 on ebay. If anybody knows what other center diff i could use on a hyper7 (pbs) would help me big time. Hope ive not ruined your post !
