  1. Hi, I don't suppose anyone knows the needle setting for a Prada Potenza engine? Or if there is as yet a catalogue of engine specs? many thanks John
  2. Hi, many thanks for help. So I've investigated further. If I disconnect the throttle linkage from the servo 'the horn' the servo does move as I'd expect. The problem is that if you open the throttle with the remote it doesn't spring back when you release the remote. Where does the energy come from to close the throttle. Does the carburettor have a return spring or is the servo suppose to 'pull' it closed? Am I making sense? Do the servos need lubricating? Kindest John
  3. Hi, many thanks for responses. I attach a couple more pictures. The throttle servo does work and it moves the brake linkage back and forth. However the throttle linkage doesn't move. It looks to me that the throttle linkage isn't connected to the servo in the same way as the brake linkage. The resting position is the throttle open about 1.5mm. But when I fire it up it goes to full throttle and screams the servo has no effect. Many thanks John
  4. Hi, I have a little nitro RC and it starts great. But it immediately goes into full full throttle and screams. The throttle goes straight to fully open and I can't control it. The servo seems to not be attached to the throttle in the usual way. Picture attached. Any thoughts? has this been rigged on purpose? Many thanks John
  5. Hi, Prafa nitro. Works well but exhaust shook loose while tuning. Parts almost impossible to find. The two bits pictured had a ‘o’ ring between them which has degraded. Any ideas? Is there a standard seal? Do the new ish liquid gasket things work? Forgive dirty fingernails! Many thanks John
  6. Hi, Thanks for letting me join. Much appreciated. I've purchased my first nitro (ebay). Little bit of tlc required but it looks pretty good shape even if old. Obviously being green I bought a discontinued brand and spares appear difficult. However I like it it's solid. I've posted a bit more in general Nitro (piccies) and would be most grateful for any thoughts. Kindest wishes John
  7. Thank you both. I'd forgotten I'd posted this and just done it again !!!!! I do apologise. Yes looks like a 3D is the only way. Thank you John
  8. Hi, I've acquired my first nitro and it looks good and appears well made. It's a Prafa Potenza. A picture attached. The servos both work and I'm awaiting fuel before testing engine. Feels like very good compression though. Prafa seem to vanished without a trace and none of their models show up on any spares retailer. I am looking for a front suspension arm. Picture also attached. I can find quite a few that look roughly the same in terms of size and attachment but not the actual one. Could anyone advise of where I might go or suggest a substitute? My other option is 3D print but that would be about 3 times the cost of the care I think. Now for the very silly questions: I presuming you can tell!! The chassis is 13" x 5" What ratio is it? What engine size? What fuel should I use? What glow plug should I use? I'd also like a new 'body' Thank you very much in advance to anyone who can help. Kindest wishes John
  9. Hi all, Just acquired first nitro car. Will post on general nitro for some advice. thank you John
  10. Hi, I have acquired a Prafa Portenza RC Nitro car. It appears in good nick. However one of the front suspension bars is missing. I can send a photo. Would you possibly have a set? Or a substitute? I can't seem to find this model on any model shop list. I think it's German. Any thoughts advice gratefully accepted. Kindest wishes John
