Its something i have been pressing for a while now. The noise will not be an issue as the officials are well aware. The ranger i spoke to told me those with the little quads etc run there and no one bothers. Plus i ran my two bajas with dom pipes when they were there and they werent bothered, around three years ago i asked the local residents to attend a bash to see if the noise would be an issue and it didnt seem to bother them. This area is in a far corner of the playing fields and a train runs past every ten mins so the locals are aware of noise. The area would only be used at preset times (i'm thinking one day over the weekend) to avoid the constant drone of nitro/gas pipes. The local aircraft club hire another side of the field and their jets are louder. I have been in touch with a local model shop and they are willing to pitch in too. What i need to do now is organise one test meetup and invite a representative from council and go from there.

Hello everyone, whilst out bashing at my local council run playing fields the ranger began to tell me that 'strictly speaking you are not meant to use these fields for rc as the cricketers have had a moan that they tear up the fields' btw i was using my savage xs and my 4 yr old his firestorm flux. I asked him if he could point out where we can run so he showed me. He said as no one uses this field you can run your big one there no problems. I asked him if there was anyone i could speak to at the council for permission to organise a more permanent area (got nowhere with him) since then the parks manager has contacted me saying if there is enough interest and that the meet ups are a bit more organised that they would hire this area out. There are a few conditions though one being insurance (brca?) Plus a risk assessment to be carried out which the BRCA have helped me with. So what I am asking is there anyone who has been in this situation themselves and do you have any advise?<br /> Cheers<br /> Nathan<br/>

Hi all, My lad has my efirestorm handed down to him running a brushless setup. Since he has had it i have replaced quite a few parts but more recently the rear drive has become very rough. When you the car off the ground one side moves up and down when you gun it. Will this be the diff? I have also noticed the cups getting very worn. Also is there a good replacement/upgrade i can use on the rear upper turnbuckles as these keep popping off even though they are new?

Evening all! I mainly use my xs as my back yard basher as i run an electric and petrol baja but EVERY time i run it something fails on me. I was getting my rc fix this weekend and there was an awful clicking noise that was more noticable on braking, from last weekend i had replaced the pinion in the rear diff and i noticed that there is a lot of front to rear play in the drive cup input, is this normal or should ot be shimmed?? I am on my 2nd esc as the first one failed and was replaced by HPI and this one cuts out very early due to overheating?! Will connecting the fan directly on the battery input wires have any detrimental effect long term? I have tried it directly on a lipo and boy does it move air! Also do the HD cups hold up well? Read last few posts i thought id blow cobwebs off little savage and change servo this morning. So did that took it for a little try out in garden and now lost a bit of front drive! :-( So thats another strip down after ive entertained the family in town, gutted.

Does anyone know how to beef up the axle pins that go in the hexes? Is it just a case of drillin the axles and which pins should i get?

Talking of slop the wheels on my truck are very,very sloppy. Took the wheels off and spent literally hours trying to find the cause to no avail. Ended up putting a washer behind the hex/pin to stop this. Surely the amount of slop i experienced aint right??

I am looking for a baja roller or a good start to a baja whether it be hpi or otherwise i aint bothered. I want it for a bit of a project (to keepe busy away from kids etc really!)
