Nothing is cheap for Tekno shiny parts!... But I certainly appreciate the quality.

Im still running mine on green springs but think I’ll swap in some Oranges ( I used to run those on my Outcast 6s). Love the small bump handling with greens but really relying on chassis slap when jumping...

YOU WANT SPRINGS? I GIVE YOU GOOD PRICE? 😄

  2. For some reason I have loads of the springs still in packets... should really sell those...

I never went balls to the walls on the shocks, I left the collars and cartyridge caps... but yeah I think you probably should go ti shafts looking at everything else you have done 😄

Bust the shock cartridge cap thingies and it  Spuffed all the oil out!!

Was still running the plastic ones ( which I’ve had zero issue with) and I think as it was so cold and I was jumping reasonably high and landing on high traction grass That was it...

Have ordered the Ali ones now 👍

Ah yeah, I already have the alloy combo ones. They can be built as either emulsion or bladder. Emulsion is BY FAR my favourite way to build them.

As a side note, Tekno recently released a kit for the ET410 to convert the stock emulsion version to bladder shocks as apparently they found a way to make that work better.... impossible to keep up!

@.AJ. You’re doing it all wrong re shock oil buddy... spacer.png

All the Kool kids are going without 👍

    🙈😂😂

Wait ... what>?! No shock oil?

I think I have to service my shocks after the last bash. Bit of oil leaking out. I have the tekno emulsions so it's no big deal.

  5. Is it, "cogging" at start up, by any chance?

Sort of hesitating and not leaving smoothly?

If so... it's not the motor, its the cheap ESC. Get a hobbywing, buy once, cry once (they're not actually even expensive).

I would agree about the amount of arms, and luckily I can remove as many as needed.

Whether it turns out to be useful or what I don't know, but I am so rusty at soldering any help is worth it!! 😇

    Ian...

Yeah it should help for sure. I'd recomend using bluetak or something to hold the base down, otherwise it can tip off balance when there is any weight on one of the sides you're soldering

    \o/  T-Bone...

    Ian...

I tried one of those things and foiund that I only needed two or 3 of the arms, the rest of them just ended up getting in the way. Did my head in so much that it ended up in the bin... gone back to just doing it all in my hands  (when you're in the back of an equipment rack, this is often the only way) or with pliers and a rubber band!

No power to the connector apparently so sadly that won’t work.

I’d cut it open myself, the case and heat shrink and try and find if the solder tab has broken off...

... but then I’m quite stupid.

How much do you reckon you can get away with on the balance cable?

Personally I'm with you, i'd take it apart, but if the balance cable is still intact then you can still tap into the cells to discharge them.

Took delivery of a crimp set for making up or modifying servo/battery leads.

I don't know what it is about this "brand", but everything I have had from them has been surprisingly good. When the normal market places are littered with utter tripe that all comes out the same factory with a different name, the "preciva" stuff seems  to be pretty good despite looking the same as all the rest of them. I have that exact crimper and it works just as well as my other ones that are Japanese made, and much more expensive.

Bet that is why the TBR bumper uses a block screwed to the A block instead of using the stock brace

Yeah I think you're right, although part of me still thinks that TBR use that system because it requires minimal modification or custom work from one car model to the next. They probably have the models set up in such a way that they just make a measurement or two, punch it into the CAD system, and it gives them a template that they can cut and form. The way the stock bumper is actually braced looks like it has a lot more meat behind it, but of course you can't really just "form" a part to replace it. Not having a dig at TBR btw, just taking a guess at how they work.

But anyway.... I have 2 more ideas.

Looks good to me mate 👌

Yeah I might fit it and give it hell today and just prey it works and I don't have to order more parts 😄

If it doesn't, I might redesign the whole bumper bracket out of a harder and stiffer TPU.

I can call that, the maximum stiffener 🤪

Thats looks like a pretty expensive box of parts 😬

Yeah it was... don't need a lot of it right now, but I also had absolutely zero spares for the ET410, and there is a few things that are getting a bit long in the tooth for the MT. If i'm puttin an order in, I might aswell cover some near future basis.

Guaranteed now that I have done this, it will be something completely different that breaks.
