Do you pack it out or just smear some in?
Just a good coating should do.

You can take the diffs apart for maintenance but I can't remember if there's a gasket in there to seal it....I don't think that there is. It's a matter of choice on diff grease mate, loads to choose from, have a look at Modelsport. I just use a random diff grease that I got given once in the MT, works OK for me.

I think some other car hop ups fit rather than the official maverick ones that are prity expensive

Not had the rx myself but I have a maverick mt. For the money I think that they are OK as long as you don't expect too much from them. Spares are widely available as are hop ups. Recently upgraded mine to brushless and its a fun drive...no problems with it yet.

It's a few years ago since I had one of these but I think the standard battery was something like a1600 mah standard nimh (tamiya style) & seemed to last ages. You sure it's fully charged? Otherwise maybe you have a dud battery.

Still waiting for mine to arrive. Plently of electric trucks out in the wild, but not seen a nitro one in the UK yet
Good things come to those who wait! 👍

That looks like an ftx outback ? With mine, I put some weights in the front bumper &, that was all...works fine for me. I would avoid putting weights in the wheels on the outback though, as the axles are a bit on the weak side.

Really like this, thing is....it's too nice to bash !!

Wish I could help you mate, I have a Manic myself, don't really run it anymore.....just a shelf Queen. Had a look around for you but, like you say, can't find any. Such a shame that we can't keep these icons going ☹️ Good luck with your search... 🍻

Hope it's worth it mate 👍

Only thing to be wary of is the number of teeth on the spline...just check👍

As far as I know, any standard size 3 wire servo will be OK. You could always drop Modelsport an email, I'm sure that they would gladly give you their advice.

Dremel with the drum wheel...nice & steady does the trick 👍

I myself trimmed out the wheel arches a bit. It still catches a bit on full tilt but generally, out on the trail it's OK.

Sorry mate.....you could try putting shoe goo on the back to reinforce it, might help ! 👍

Not done anything to my models, but did yet another new shell for my wifes brushless outlaw, she still has her own stickers to put on, she calls it "Dirty Fairy", she wanted a nice new set of robes on it for scale nationals, what you cant see is all the black Gorilla tape on inside of shell, see if this one lasts any longer
Haha! Bought a Bugster shell a while ago to fit on a maverick.....paper thin....did the same tape thing with mine to no avail...didn't last 2 minutes ☹️

had to look up what this was...and it's not hte road car Jimny we all know and hate.... its an old 70's Kei car type with a 500cc 2 stroke motor. So actually, it was tiny. Slightly odd looking, and was a design Suzuki inherited.
The hairdressers offroader we know came along in the 80's after this was discontinued.
Still looks pretty cheap and tacky though. But at £250 ish from Banggood....its not really cheap
Hairdresser's off roader!!! The Jimny is a very good off roader.....will put a lot of more expensive things to shame !

If you are using the stock Tamiya ESC then no, probably not. Think Tamiya esc limit is around 22t...maybe more. Otherwise you'll need to change the esc for something like a hobbywing 1060.

What I will say though is the brushless motor is mine and my mates Stradas died pretty quickly and we said at the time that if we could start again we'd get the cheaper brushed version and chuck a hobbywing max10 combo in it instead. Last time I looked the brushed one was 60 quid cheaper and a max 10 combo is £90
Didn't know that the Mavrick motors were suspect! Been thinking of getting one.....maybe that's why they're in the sale at MS ?

I'd never heard of red n tacky ......had to look it up !!! Sounds like it might be a bit on the heavy side but, you could give it a go if you're wanting to tighten things up !
