Its Anglesey Barracks at Dinorwic quarry Llanberis, these tiny houses had up to 3 miners living in them at a time, there was a little fireplace for cooking and that was about it, have to say the walk to get these pics was pretty hard going for us but worth doing
That's a coincidence...we were there just two weeks ago ! Spent a week in a cottage just the other side of the castle. The slate quarry is amazing, it's like another world up there! Did you go further up to the view point and the "blue lagoon" ?

As stated above you can get lipo voltage checkers on ebay/amazon for just a few quid and they work well. A word of warning though, don't leave you lipos fully charged for more than a day or so....otherwise they will become stressed and balloon, which will ruin them.

Just another over priced box of plastic from Tami-Ha-Ha ! I know we all probably started out with a Tamiya but seriously they need to move on and stop ripping us off !

A very informative personal review that mate...thank you very much for taking the time to post this. I've often considered buying one of these myself, I maybe one step closer now ! 👍

Same reason I want a nitro, love tinkering with stuff like that. I came to a conclusion anyway and have just ordered the HPI. I look forward to my nitro experience!
Good on you mate 👍 Be sure to run the engine in properly...warm it up first with a heat gun or engine heater. Hope you have fun tinkering 😁

Heng long make a small tug boat. They are on sale at Model Shop Leeds for £36 if that's of any interest to you.

I must admit that I'm a bit of a hpi fan anyway but Modelsport have a pre owned Bullet MT for sale for £210....looks like new. Most spares are available also.

I don't remember the rear end been out like that but it's few years ago now and I've since fitted the aluminium adjustable links...Worth the £10 (if you can get them).
Looking forward to seeing the body 👍

Love these things.....so different from the norm! Axle fitment is a bit quirky and you may find after a while that it might start to slip (more glue required). Enjoy 👍

Any of the Hong Nor engine range...4.6/5.2/5.9. Hellfire used a 4.6 l believe, you can get a HN 4.6 for £99 from Modelsport. They are basically a rebranded Force engine...Great value IMO .
Is this the best place to end the hobby? Tamiya Mini Cooper #58149

I really do understand where you're coming from with this. I've felt the same way for a while now. I'm in my 60's now so I've been in the hobby a long time..maybe it's an age thing with me, but I too struggle find the motivation to take the models out. Im still sort of interested but I kinda wish something new would come along...I've no idea what!!! In resent years I've turned to building model boats...something that requires a little more than just screwing things together! and I must say that I get a lot of satisfaction from my efforts. If you have storage space then hang on to your models for now. If not, then only you can decide !
