The kit is 300 of the rtr is £490

Personally even that’s a bit steep I’d rather get the FTX DR8 at £360 if you shop around a bit. Same size easy parts excess and cheap as chips. With savings you could even treat it to some nice cnc upgrades 👍

    Agree on that one mate.

  2. Have you had a look at the outback 3 ?  I have both outback 2 & recently the outback 3. The 3 is a big improvement IMO. Then again I haven't had any problems with the 2. As said, with the outback 2, shift the weight up front. All said though,  I think that the outback ( 2 & 3 ) is quite a capable rig for the money.

as above but always use an engine heater, it will prolong the life of the engine. less strain and less wear imo.

After your quote I had a look into them ...& looked at reviews. Guess you may be right there mate 😉

  4. As a general rule for starting both high speed & low speed should be flush. Idle gap is 1mm ( l think )...should tell you in the manual.  Also have a look on YouTube, there's a great video by JQRacing entitled "know your idle gap". Wouldn't bother with a heater myself.

  5. Model Shop Leeds is a fabulous place.....not that much in the way of rc cars...they do sell them but, not many spares available.

Often use them for paint, masking & stuff. Having said that,, I've recently bought a big Billing boats kit from them....many mths of work there to keep me busy!!

  6. Hiya mate. Not had the Quantum myself but I think it's completely different from the  Strada. There's been reports of brittle A arm's but that may have been sorted now.

I've had a Strada for a long number of years...started as brushed but gone brushless  & added aluminium upgrades along the way...lots of upgrades available. All in all I think the Strada is a good truck for  the money. Maybe take a look on YouTube for reviews of the Quantum....but, at the end of the day ....it's your choice, buy  whatever is in your heart & enjoy it :good:

I've used them loads. Usually get customs charges. But they're prices are so cheap compared to buying in the UK that it doesn't really matter.  Having said that, the last few times I've used the japan post ems shipping which Royal Mail bring and these haven't had charges. More by luck though I'd say.

Thanks for that mate, been looking at a new body kit for the Dancing rider, which are ridiculously expensive over here and, it seems, don't even come with a decal sheet !

Always thought these look kinda cool... but agree with yorkshireman I doubt it'd be a very practical RC in England unless perhaps you beefed it up a bit to use in mud

Might be able to use it tomorrow if the weather forecast is right for tonight!!!! (In Yorkshire) :good:   Jimny day tomos  maybe  😁
