Have you been watching clips of the RAC rally? That Stratos sounded awesome...been thinking of a build myself, maybe using the hpi rs4 chassis though 🤔

Makes you wonder why people post these things then never return 🤔

160 quid for a 1/24 scale ? 🤔

If you haven't looked already, then have a look on the meet up section on the forum. To be honest there doesn't seem to be a lot going on up here 😕
Don't get out much myself lately but Demon Models in Wakefield used to organise a bash every now and then at Horbury.....don't know if they still do but might be worth looking on their Facebook page.

Making progress, found the brushless motor and fitted that with pinion, esc fitted, servo was a fail, figured i would use the stock one i pulled out of the Element Gatekeeper, but to say its new its a no go as the M3 screw that hold the horn is stuck fast and solid, so i have had to order an MG995, the body looks to be a nice fit, here is a pic of tomr`s one on HPI RS4 chassis, this was my inspiration for this build, i am going same colour scheme
What ever happened to tomr? Not seen him on here for ages!

I don't think that's a bad chassis for the money....certainly good enough if you're not racing! Keep thinking of getting one myself but can't decide what to build it into 🤔

Hello and welcome. I still have an MT2....great little nitro, don't run it much these days and if I do I'm "careful" with it...spares are increasingly hard to come by. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have though 👍

I also use 2 x 3s soft packs but l use Zeee. I have some hard packs but they sit quite high & the battery strap only just reaches round. Never used a single 6s pack so can't advise on that.

Or...maybe, the new Maverick Atom ? Looks like a good value little truck.

As above...force engine's are pretty good for a reasonable price 👍 Just make sure you run it in properly first 😉

No doubt you will have to buy the whole parts tree with the posts on. Try TTP if you have the part No...not sure if M05 & M06 share the same posts ? Otherwise you may be able to use the Tamiya body mount extension set (part No. 54604).

Some very nice bodyshell's there ...such a shame about the Hakkinen tribute, that was really nice ! Also the Agata/Lambo (was) a beautiful colour 😍

So, I decided the rear of the BBX needed a spare wheel. Tony @ TTP Is only a few miles away from me so I messaged him and popped round. An absolutely great guy, showed me a fair things and left me drooling over some of his old school stuff.
I picked up what I needed, and some parts Id ordered and not yet shipped
:
Rear wheel for the BBX spare and the slipper/gear diff for the BBX. Not looking forward to retro fitting the Slipper/Diff mindTTP is great for Tamiya parts...had a few things from him, never any issues and fast dispatch/delivery 👍

Thats very nice mate....anything but totally average paint job 👍

Inspired by Pistonhead's Scania build, I got the Globeliner down of the shelf last week and decided to spend some more money on it!!!!
Ordered a motorized support legs kit from TTP....delivered in a couple of days, so been fitting the servo and coupler to the tractor unit. All wired in now and working 👍
Next thing to do is the trailer part...when I get time! I can see a roof spoiler coming up next, so thanks Pistonhead 🤣

Don't know how much you want to pay but, Modelsport have one ( ex display ) for £55 l think 🤔

As above....if you haven't got a heater use a hot air gun or even a hairdryer to get some heat into the engine before trying to start it (especially if it's new).

A new body kit for the Tamiya trike from Plaza Japan. Big saving over UK prices (despite postage costs) & delivered within a week ! 😁👍

Oh and it will be! A few years ago I bought a Globeliner, and by the time I'd done with it....electrics, radio, mfc, trailer & lights...not to mention paint & graphics, spent about a grand! And where is it now? Sat on a shelf!! Enjoyed the build though 👌

Yes it's stronger than the Bugsta ( nothings indestructible ) and it's certainly faster....60mph do for you ? Parts are cheap and upgrades are available. There's a section on here for the DR8 & lots of YouTube reviews. IF, you decide to go for a better boat, then have a look at the Joysway Alpha....I can recommend that also.
At the end of the day mate, you can ask 20 different people & get 20 different answers.. SO, It's your decision...enjoy whatever you get 🙂

Always had my doubts about these type of product...sort of seems a bit messy! Hope it works out OK for you and be interesting to see the results.
