  1. you can pick up an ammo box for £20 on ebay....brand new ones
  2. I'm waiting for a response back from GoldBat so i will let you know.. thanks for the offer..
  3. How much would one be ? I need something, i have a GURU who's ex - Hobby could do the nitty gritty but if there's an expert already in the midst would be better!!
  4. It also not clear from this but the centre thin black cable (not 4mm i dont think) would also need to be changed?
  5. Does the original still protrude as high with the cable through the side? There is minimal clearance in the bay.
  6. I purchased a 2s lipo for my daughters Granite not realising (NEWB) that the connections to the battery were via Vertical connectors (see below). This however doesn't fit in the Granite chassis. I need something like the other attached photo (90 degrees) so that the cable will run along the pack. I appreciate that plugs can be purchased and soldered but all the 90 deg plugs i seem to find are suggested for Audio use. Will these be any use? Anyone aware of any Pre-made leads with Deans connectors out there.... Running her Granite on 2 x Li Ions is painful, especially when Daddy s is still whizzing around.
  7. Last post on this thread... I'm ordering a 2019 Outcast.... once I work out some decent batteries
  8. Lol I have kinda tried but she doesn't know its for her. Thinks it's for me.
  9. Ok I'm losing the will to live trying to decide on her car... Bugsta or Carnage I know are both ftx but it seems my local(20 miles awzy) carry Ftx spares as the sell both the above.... are they basically the same underneath? What's the minimum upgrades needed to make it worth it....
  10. Forgive the ignorance but I assume the E Firestorm and the E Firestorm Flux are two different beasts? Is it only the Flux that's worth the buy ?
  11. I've decided finally on a Big Rock but still unsure on the right car for my Daughter who's 6. For "Mini Me" I contemplated the Arrma Fazon Voltage. Now im not 100% convinced purely based on the uncertainty of longevity .....and no stock.. Based on what Modelsport sell brand wise I assume (maybe naively) that w hat they sell is the more supported stuff? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/funtek-mt-twin-1-10th-4wd-rtr-monster-truck-lipo-twin-motored/rc-car-products/437414 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/bsd-racing-prime-desert-assault-v2-buggy-rtr-brushed/rc-car-products/394960 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-bugsta-4wd-brushed-1-10th-off-road-buggy-rtr/rc-car-products/388535 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-outlaw-1-10-4wd-ultra-4-rtr-buggy-brushed/rc-car-products/406356 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/kyosho-monster-tracker-1-10-ep-buggy-ready-set-t1-green-grey/rc-car-products/423263 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/kyosho-axxe-2wd- desert-buggy-green-/rc-car-products/396584 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/maverick-strada-mt-1-10-rtr-electric-monster-truck/rc-car-products/405658 Based on visual appearance and what i know will "make the eyes shine" for my 6 year old the above is a potential short (ok long) list. Any advice for or against any of these from experience would be much appreciated.. Once again I apologise for the Long winded Newbie post.
  12. Tbh I was always torn between the Granite and the Senton. I like the look of the Senton but the ruggedness of the Granite. I kind of dismissed the Big Rock as I find the blue body plain and boring.. I then watched many reviews and heard a few say it is pretty much a Granite and Senton cross. Its availability also had some sway. The Granite keeps getting pushed back for stock... i have to have Heart surgery some time later this year...so want to be able to get some fun before I'm housebound possibly for several months... and as my partner said...I can tinker whilst sat on my butt and learn more about the construction .
  13. Update....! Change of plan....looks like the Big Rock is now going to be the weapon of choice after reading up and cogitating. I'm not a big fan of the BLUE body but "she who must be obeyed" is a decent artist and should be able to work her magic with some cool graphics. Has anyone who owns a Big Rock found any Body shells that fit nicely to the chassis without major changes? I've seen some vids showing changes to the wheels which involves an adaptor easily fitted which allows for a bigger footprint and decent tires. I believe there is a "painting" thread so i will look there for advice on paint types and prepping etc. For "Mini Me's" choice the Arrma Fazon Voltage im not 100% convinced on. purely based on the uncertainty of longevity ..... 14. So looks like a slight delay in purchasing. Health issues have arisen which has put the brakes on a little...? If and when, I think I've 80% decided its going to be ARRMA Granite 3s BLX for me and possibly the ARRMA Fazon Voltage for the daughter. Having watched the ARRMA interview it would seem the Voltage models are staying as they are for now as they are a foot in the door RC for ARRMA. I cant spend to much on the lesser model but want her to have something which is "close" to Daddy's (albeit in the eyes of a 6 year old).
