  1. I would give my vote to the Hobao Hyper Mt The new version with the upgraded shafts and slipper factory flitted and with a few Cheap mods is tough as a tank. Decent electronics.. powerfull motor. Nice chasis with the optional brace ect. I think for this price range and with few upgrades it doesn't have a competitor for hard bashing and jumping.
  2. I did this today to stop cups from tearing apart. Filled with permatex cold weld epoxy and bronze sleeve
  3. Is anyone else having issues with the latest driveshafts 0083n cuting the lower pin on the joint?
  4. No i really never had issues with the front diff screws. The brace is tested by my son.. crashing all over.. me driving it like crazy.. and a friend who wanted to drive and throw it from a cliff lol.. 2 bashing sesions.. no loose screws.. no cracks.. nothing. So its not tested for long term but you can easy tell the difference in handing and if there was a weak point i thing would have shown . I did a really sealed spur cover. Every gap is sealed with automotive gasket maker and 3m rubber tape. So i prefer ot this way for peace of mind. I never thought though the bottom cover poping back on the spur on a landing... hmmm.. must check that Did anyone notice how much play those stock bearings have? Especialy the big ones 10x15x4 They also get dirty very easy.. i think will upgrade all to rubber sealed
  5. Lol... it wad just a joke like what he answered me back on page 193... if you read it will see what i mean.
  6. There are many people reading this and asbestos is a very risky and forbiten material. So be careful when writing such things..
  7. Havent tryied the carbon top plate as i have my spur sealed from all sides and the carbon top plate is not compatible with the sealed spur covers. But also the rod sits higher and that is a plus.. if the have aame results i think i would preffer the carbon only for aesthetics. Looks cleaner. As to make more and sell them.. unfortunately i dont have the time and tools.. i used a dremell and took me hours to fabricate..
  8. This is waht i did. As you can notice inside the rod is a stainless theated rod. The 2 point bracket helps with side flex also. Its reduced 80%. Front to back flex is totaly eliminated.
  9. First bashing sesion with the brace. Eated 3 batteries jumping and beating. Everything stayed in one piece Also handling is much much better! Really happy Its finally not all over the place and fully controllable
  10. The shell is supported by the rod inside. The support is with long m3 screws and nuts so taking the whole diff housing as support.. Will see
  11. Custom brace adjustable.. 4mm stainless rod inside and aluminium shell
  12. I send an email to RPM regarding making parts for our ftx. They replied that they hear first time that the ftx series is having problems with fragile a arms or so.. I will try to make them produce a-arms for ftx carnage/bugsta .. vantage/vandal ect as they have sold ALOT
  13. Look at that stance.. lol. Hoppe it will stay in one piece
