  1. It was in a Thunder Tiger DT10 I got off eBay years ago but I believe they're from the HPI Rush Evo. Cheers for looking Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  2. Hello, I recently decided to have a go at restoring my old HPI Nitro Star 15FE engine but I haven't been able to find any spares online and was wondering if there are parts from another, more modern nitro engine that would be compatible or if I'm just not looking in the right place for spares. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks, Will

  4. Hey, I have an old HPI E Firestorm (#105879) that is compatible with the Castle Link USB tool but the specified version that works with mine is discontinued. Although my ESC isn't listed as compatible with the new version of the Castle Link USB tool do you think it'd still work? Would it be a case of there just being too many ESCs to list if they included older ESCs? Thanks, Will
  5. I'll being doing my first tests with a brushed motor that my friend is letting me use. He upgraded his 2WD slash to brushless so I get to play with his brushed motor and old ESC. Hopefully it all works out. I've been looking for other transmissions that might fit the chassis but I doubt theres anything. I was also hoping I could fit a traxxas slipper onto my tranmission in place of the spur gear but that also looks impossible.
  6. Thanks for the reply! I'll be honest I was quite worried about it but as you say, I've just gotta drive carefully. The main reason for my concern/want of a clutch was due to the age of the car and the lack of spares. Thanks again.
  7. Ok, its good to know that it isn't too much of a big deal. I suppose being careful when landing will be easier/cheaper than some sort of elaborate clutch system although I'd still prefer one. Thanks for the reply and advice.
  8. Hello, I'm in the process of converting my old nitro Thunder Tiger DT10 1/10 Stadium Truck (2WD) to electric and I have realised there isn't really any way of adding a clutch. The nitro engine uses a bell clutch and I don't think its possible to add one to an electric motor. I know many of the electric 2WD cars have the clutch as part of the spur gear but that also isn't really an option with way the diff is on this car. So, do any of you have a solution to this and do you think I really need a clutch? I've watched so many videos in an attempt to find a solution and have had no luck so far. Thanks in advance, Will.
