All sorted thankyou and i have gone stainless and hex so shouldn't round off as much £24 including ship for around 450 bolts and nuts ( I chose exactly what length and torx etc so every single one will fit not just a box of bolts where half don't even go with the carnage )

I brought a second hand carnage this weekend and had a good look over it and started to strip it down and rebuild it as some bits needs fixing, ive come across about 40% of the truggys screw rounded off I have managed to get them out but now they are 100% knackered I have looked online at the ftx pages and I near enough need atleast 1 of every different bolt there is and there is like 25 different sets id need costing between £2 and £4.30 per set adding them to the basket I could buy literally half of a brand new car haha!! can I use alternative bolts ive had a look on ebay for say the countersunk m3 hex screws and found 50 for £3 but my only concern is the thread pattern being different? has anyone just used plain old standard screws etc ? I'm looking to fill up a whole screw box as ill now have 3 ftx rc cars that all use the same parts.

I may transfer back and wait to crash then see what it breaks isit just the lower arms. Will it still smash to bits on a new ali chasis ? To be honest I wouldn't normally drive it around a industrial estate full of pallets, the field was waterlogged so didn't want to kill it by drowning it

Hello , yeah I need a new chasis and front body posts as they broke when it flipped , but I also need the gearbox casing so will need to open all that up to put it all into the new casing as I can't find a full gearbox already complete to buy , here's a photo of the damage to my casing

Does anyone know if you can buy complete gearboxes already built not just the casing ? I need a new one as I snapped the plastic casing where the 2 screws thread in through the upper plate. Also has anyone had had problems with wheel alignment mine seemed so far out this morning esecially the rear wheels pointing in towards the chasis

How easy isit to replace the front gearbox casing I snapped mine too today along with the chasis and body post. I've only had it a week so haven't really got the knowledge of the diffs etc I know how to take most of the car apart but have never set a pinion up against the spur or anything so it's going to be quite a experience and I'm not sure what to expect

I think the steering is sluggish to been looking at a waterproof 20kg servo and the ftx carnage is the only bug I have I use to have 3 nitro cars ansmann virus , another ansmann that was like the ftx carnage and a hpi truggy

Also you don't have to take anything apart to fit them so a decent upgrade if you ask me

I never drove my car without them but they are strong you can feel them giving strength to the lower arms

Not sure, my chasis and the original plastic suspension holders have the notches too. It the length the ali ones sit in the chasis more by a few mm's but enough for it to not slot into the notches got a ali chasis on order hopefully the ali parts will work with that chasis the carbon shock towers don't work with the normal lower arms either. Had this thing apart about 5 times in 3 days

Got mine today haven't even drove it and decided to upgrade it tonight as weather was rubbish all day, it's getting there but can't get the rear differential stuff to line up on the chassis now not sure if it's where I have changed it all to ali and left the chasis plastic :/

Hello , I have just got my carnage and thought I'd got all out ! I'm waiting on the Ali chasis to come but I've just changed all the rear to carbon and ali.. mine is doing the same but my chasis is plastic and the lowers arms , suspension arm holders etc are all ali

I have already got the parts won't be putting them all on straight away will try the car out first , I won't be doing anything stupid like trying to air half pipes up the skate park etc, I usually buy spares so there there in a toolbox ready for when the parts break, nowhere near me sells ftx parts so If I done that everytime I broke a steering arm would cost me the past plus around £3.50 postage every time over 10 broken parts that's £35 which would have paid for a decent lipo charger or a battery. I will keep all the stock parts as spares anyway incase something does go wrong. I'll get used to the car first though I have the programmer to limit throttle etc for first few goes
