  1. Hi all, I've just bought an SMT10 Grave Digger as a bit of a project, i've already stripped and cleaned it and it's looking much better. Was wandering if anyone has any tips for the rebuild? The diffs seem a little tight to me. Is there any suppliers you recommend for JConcepts 2.6 tyres (have the wheels already) and i'd like the green beadlock bits too. Is there any suppliers of SMT10 parts about, I need the battery top tie down bit and I imagine it's like hen's teeth now. Thank you, looking forward to getting this one finished!
  2. Anything for an SMT10, or drift related stuff, old Tamiya wrecks. I like a project haha
  3. These were fitted to a recent purchase so I can't say too much about them sadly. Appear to be metal wheels 2.2 crawler size with some pretty serious looking tyres. Fairly soft but unbranded so expect to be copies of something else. Standard size hex. Signs of use with scratches and a few screws seem to be un original, might be a couple missing. Nice and heavy so might be of use to someone? Nice looking tyres if nothing else. Asking for £30 posted but will listen to offers. Putting on here before I list on eBay at the weekend. Can provide more pictures if needed.
  4. Where are you based? At our club the RMX 2.0 is considered the better chassis, but I know the YD2 is highly regarded too. I have a hopped up Sakura D4 as my comp chassis and a FXXD IFS as my latest chassis. I like the D4 as it's cheap and easy enough to tune in, but it can be hard to get parts for now. Slide Dynamics RC is the UK rep for MST anyway and he stocks loads of drift bits so he can help you out, have a look on FB
  5. Glad it's working better for you. It's a game of changing things all the time and finding what makes it best for you.
  6. I mainly run RWD drift chassis now but I have had 50:50 and CS cars in the past. Your chassis is a 50:50 drive split I would guess, so running fairly locked diffs front and rear is probably best for a bit of fun. If your struggling to control it, you could either use a smaller pinion gear to lower the top speed (also increase run times), or use a softer tyre to increase grip levels. HPI T Drift tyres used to be the ones for tarmac bashing but i'm not sure if they are still about. You could also look into different motors, 15t is relatively fast so maybe a 27t stock motor or similar. Hope that helps a bit!
  7. Looks really nice, please get the wheels on!
  8. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with that ?
  9. It's a good form of RC, I love it, but it's not similar to PC stuff. Controls are totally different although general technique is close to 1:1. If you fancy one and you have somewhere to use it then go for it
  10. Thank you i'll check that out. Wheels and tyres look good. I'm still running original Clod tyres on my monster, I need to invest in some new ones they look lovely ?
  11. This is looking great! Have you got a link to the drive rc site?
  12. Very nice, will be good to see built up ?
  13. Slightly old thread, but have you driven this at all? I've been after one for a while, very nice looking truck ? I'm just a bit worried they aren't particularly strong for garden bashing?
  14. Hi, i'm a bit late to this request but I run Style92 UK, check me out on fb. @Style92UK Let me know if you need anything and I can help you out. Thanks, Andrew
  15. Yeah thats correct, Teynham it is. Ran by a guy called Ben, there's a website too but it's a bit out of date. Ben stocks loads of kits and accessories too, mainly imported from Japan so good stuff. I can get you his email if you need it ?
  16. Heres the page with them all on... https://www.dms-racing.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=172&Itemid=533 I bought from here too, very good site
  17. Late reply for you but there is Slide Dynamics RC (SDRC) in Sittingbourne, Kent. Runs on Wednesdays and some Tuesdays/Sundays too. Big track, good carpet surface. We run RWD cars but all welcome. Check out the FB page
  18. I'm toying with the idea of either swapping or buying an SMT10. Does anyone have a Gravedigger one? I'd be tempted to trade with my 2wd Slash, Tamiya M02 Beetle or Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1 F103GT. Maybe others. Ideally Kent area? Thanks Andy
  19. Hi all, Sorry if this shouldn't be here, please remove if not allowed. I have started my own cut vinyl business called Style92 (link below). I will mainly be doing RC stuff so please check out my FB page and give it a like ? I welcome any custom bits and bobs, no matter how big or small. https://www.facebook.com/Style92UK/ Thanks, Andrew!
  20. Thanks for the feedback, I think your right, scaling does seem popular at the moment. I’ll have a go at some more and post them up
  21. Firstly if this shouldn’t be posted here please feel free to remove. I’ve read the docs and I think it’s okay I’ve started making my own RC stickers and the first run is on eBay now. These are mini slap/bumper stickers suited to RC drifters and possibly scalers. Designs are all in the listing below. Selling these cheap to fund parts for my 1:1 project. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F142692593503 I’d appreciate any support. I do graphics and printing so any ideas for future releases would be appreciated.
