  1. Cool, thank you. is there any others to look at? I had thought dynamite brushless 70a, would that work with my motor? but a tad expensive. I'd like to buy from uk if possible.
  2. Well I think it's going into my ecx circuit however I might try it in the Bigfoot too see which I like it better in.
  3. Thanks for the advice folks! If this one does poop itself, can you recommend a better one that'll work with the 4000kv motor? Would the new esc need to be an 80amp too? Cheers
  4. Turnigy everything, I've seen good reviews on their batteries.
  5. I thought Turnigy were ment to be good? Oh well lesson learnt!
  6. Hit or miss then as to if it'll work or not? I guess I'll find out then it arrives.
  7. Hey I've just bought a Turnigy 4000kv motor 80a esc combo, I'm just wondering if anyone is running that same combo, the more and more I look people are saying that the esc is a load of rubbish? If anyone has experience with the same setup, how is it working out for you? I'm just worried I've made a mistake buying it, however I'm probably just jumping the gun and it'll be ok?! Any help would be great. Cheers Rob
  8. Thank you for the reply, building them is difficult for me as I have cerebral palsy and don't have full use of my left hand. Rtr is the on,y way for me really. I'm in no hurry so I'll have a look at tamiya rtr as I believe the do them? Plus it'll probably last longer that the ftx? Yeah, I've watch the lads reviews (Mike?) he did say they would be worth considering.
  9. Hey, I'm looking at the ftx surge as a small scale back garden truck just to mess on with. From what I've seen on reviews the first one was pretty rubbish, broke all the time, however the mk2 one was a fair bit better? Ideally I'd like a 1/12 scale, I did own a foxx s911 it lasted a while but things started to wear out. I like the fact there is good spares back up with the surge too. Like I say it would just be getting used in the garden so nothing to hard at all. Worth buying?? Cheers Rob
  10. It's looking so cool, giving me ideas now!
  11. I may have a look but I'm unsure now.
  12. Well, I think I'll just put them in the RC drawer, I'm not out a massive amount in them £8, you guys have made me think, I think I'll just leave it standard gearing.
  13. Bump up, any further opinions? Cheers
  14. That's it, is there a dangerous temperature area I need to look out for when I get a temp gun, both esc and motor?
  15. Yeah, I'm pretty sure his is English, I was wondering why he was all in Dollars, but yup sure enough he's in America. He did a bash video and said it was fine. I dunno I'll try it and like I say if it's rubbish I'll refit the standard gearing. I'm quite intrigued by it, another guy on YouTube fitted the same gearing on the recommendation of these videos, he also says it's alright.
  16. Yeah, I'm going to get a heat gun to keep a check, it's mainly gravel I'll be using it on and very short football field grass no long grass, if I find it's causing bother I'll wip them out and put the standard ones back in. Have a peep at his vids and see what you make of them.
  17. Yeah, still running the Titan at the min but planning to go brushless in the future. I've just been speaking to the guy in the video and he says it's still going well with no problems. I dunno I may try them for a time or two see how it runs.
  18. Hey, I'm just wondering if you lot maybe able to help me out. I've just bought a new gearing set up for my Bigfoot, it's a 23-76 set up, it'll be for bashing, on gravel, short grass and Tarmac. I'm just wondering about how much heat it'll create? There's a guy on YouTube in America who has fitted it to his Bigfoot, he says it works well with no over heating issues. I just thought I'd ask you guys before fitting the new gearing as to if its worth fitting or not. I'll try include the YouTube link to his videos. Many thanks Rob youtube bashing link with 23-76 gearing fitted https://youtu.be/fsypMqQrh0w
  19. Cool, thanks for your advice. ?
  20. Hey, I'm looking at a Traxxas Verillion motor and esc BUT one problem, the esc has hit the thermal shut down and doesn't run the motor very well. I'm guessing the esc it ready for the bin, the seller says motor still works but only for 10 seconds or so due to the esc being broken. Is it worth the risk of buying for the brushless motor, will the motor be ok and just the esc broken? Is it worth the risk of buying it and replace the esc or just walk away? Cheers Rob
