  1. Brilliant ! Thank you very much 😀👍👍
  2. I'm looking for a decal sheet for the Axial SCX10ii Jeep Cherokee. If anyone has one spare I have money waiting 😊👍 Thanks
  3. @savagetrom I sent mine to [email protected] and they confirmed it was not from them. They suggested I send it to [email protected] which I have done.
  4. @ChrisT Thanks for the info. I haven't been charged import duties before so didn't know any of the procedures. I guess it's hit and miss because I had a large jiffy bag of parts delivered recently direct from a hobby shop in Japan. I was expecting to pay something because they stated as standard that they were not responsible for any custom charges, and I didn't get any !
  5. @.AJ. and @Gampla Thank you very much. I suspected it was. I usually check the sender's email address, and Rosie Miller - Royal Mail <[email protected]> looked a wee bit dodgy.
  6. I have received an email from a "Rosie Miller - Royal Mail <[email protected]>" saying "Royal Mail - Parcel Update This email is regarding parcel: #EN8938492898391 Dear , (this was blank) Your international parcel is being investigated by British Customs and has been imposed import duties. Parcel information Parcel no.: #EN8938492898391 Weight: 0,5kg Status: Withheld in customs View your import duties and what to do next with your parcel, clicking the button below. VIEW IMPORT DUTIES Royal Mail - Parcel Service I have a small part tree due in December from the USA, total value $10, and a small switch due in December from China, total value 99p. The parel number above doesn't correspond to either of these deliveries. I have not incurred custom duties before, and I haven't clicked on any of the links because I think this may be spam. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
  7. I thinks Tamiya is a good kit choice and would be good for you and your son to build one together. I have 50 and love them. You will also have to consider the other things you will have to buy with most low end Tamiya kits. 1 When looking at kits is pay a little extra and get one with an included ESC. It works out a few pounds cheaper than buying one separately 2 Steering servo 3 Radio (Transmitter) and Receiver 4 Ball Bearings, optional but for most people this is the first "upgrade" to buy before building the kit (Most cheaper Tamiya kits still only have plastic and brass Bushings which lessen the durability and cause more wear and tear to the RC. One of the biggest negatives about Tamiya) 5 Spray paints for the body etc 6 Possibly lexan scissors, curved and straight. Not essential but do a better job of cutting out the body etc Sometimes all of this and the kit can work out more than a decent budget RTR. This of course is only my own opinion and you can't beat building a kit to get to know the ins and outs of the RC. The sense of achievement when you have finished building your first kit is second to none. It's also very handy knowledge when you need to do repairs. As with a lot of hobbies there is a vast amount of choice and it can get overwhelming. But I think the best advice I have read here is from RCbutcher to watch as many models as you can on YouTube 👍👍👍
  8. @Heheshamon Hi, yes I can confirm that Tamiya 10005574 part tree has the part that will fit. But this is black. There is one on Ebay being sold for £6.90 free p+p by someone called harvdmarv. I have bought from him several times and he is a good safe seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-Hummer-Humvee-TA02-Racing-Lancer-Cayenne-0005574-10005574-A-Parts-NEW/233212538260?epid=1021803767&hash=item364c8ced94:g:Y1MAAOSw-4Rad6o8 However, the correct part colour for the Tamiya Lancia Delta HF Integrale (58117) TA-01 chassis is red, if that is important to you. That is on part tree Tamiya 10005404. Unfortunately that part costs almost twice as much. There's one on ebay being sold for £12.39 free p+p by someone called tonystamiyaparts975. Another seller I have bought from many times, and would highly recommend without hesitation. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-50541-0005404-4WD-Touring-Rally-Car-Front-Gear-Case-TA01-TA02-NIP-/382834292180 I have the Tamiya manual your Lancia in PDF format. If you would like it, private message me your email address and I will email it to you
  9. I was using a Flysky FS GT3C Transmitter and tried it on another channel and everything works ok now. This can be deleted now if you want.
  10. I've got a problem with the electrics in a SCX10. It shoots backwards when I steer left with & without using throttle ? Worked perfectly last time I used it. It's got me baffled ! I would be very grateful for any advice. Thank you : ))
  11. Here you are my friend. In the gearbox ?
  12. ooooh, progress. What a bonus. Looking forward to this
  13. I have found that the springs on the chinese shocks have been very stiff that I have bought for some of my Tamiya's, so I use the original Tamiya springs on them and try different oils until I get a nice balance that suits me. Can't complain about the aluminium chinese shock bodies though. I've had no leak problems. I look forward to seeing what body you get or make for yours.
  14. @Gaz! Thought you might be interested in this mate
  15. Thanks Dan. I will give it a try as it is. I still have the front axle to do, and will pay more attention to how it is before I strip it down.
  16. I have stripped down and cleaned up my SCX10 rear axle. I had a couple of problems with it when I took it apart which I think may have contributed to it not running smoothly now I have reassembled it. I have put new bearings in it which are seated correctly and new marine grease on the cogs. Now when fully assembled there is a tiny bit of binding/grinding with the diff about quarter of the way round a full turn. It doesn't stop the rotation but it isn't smooth like the rest of the rotation (hard to explain) The first problem when I started taking it apart was the metal propshaft was stuck on the spindle. So I put it in a plastic container with boiling water for a few minutes.I didn't submerge the whole plastic axle but some of it was touching the water. This expanded the metal enough for me to prise the propshaft off. When I put the two axle casings together the ends are slightly bowed out before I put the axle lockouts on, which pulls it back into shape. I can't remember if it was like this before because it's been a while since I took it apart. I wondered if I have warped the axle housings in the boiling water and this may cause my problem? The diff does bind/grind a bit before I screw it all together and put the lockouts on though. The second thing that happened when I was cleaning the grease off the diff assembly, was I accidentally scraped off some of the paper gasket from the bevel gear. I didn't think this would be much of a problem so didn't worry about it, but now I am wondering if the assembly hasn't screwed back together symmetrically and is causing the intermittent binding/grinding. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thank you
  17. Hi @Gaz! It's been a while but I ended up buying these from RC Mart for £7 a pair. They work really well as you can see in this video
  18. Hi. Do you have the Jumper peg in the correct place for Forward - Brake - Reverse.
  19. I often use the main site for parts. Got a delivery today five days after ordering. Not bad for this time of year. Quicker than some UK companies I have used recently. I wouldn't buy a kit or RTR from them though. They regularly have good deals on them but the shipping costs are high. Apart from that I can't fault them.
