  1. I'm not in the running for a 1/5th but i can't wait to see reviews and running vids of this. The size and weight makes it a niche market for sure though. Under $3000 they say ?
  2. While you have the calipers out could you do me a favour and measure the width of one of the battery trays on the xmaxx fella?
  3. Hopefully not brick sized lipos!
  4. Thanks, It's all ready to go as it is. I've put banana binding posts for each charger output on the lower front of the case so i just plug my para leads/balance cables in there and charge ?
  5. yeh for me two of the best chargers on the market right now. i looked at the 4010 but will only ever need up to 6s
  6. The 406 duo can only do up to 6s, the 4010 duo can do 10s i think, but if your using 2x 4s packs for a truck instead of a single 8s pack, you could parallel charge up to 10x 4s lipo's per channel with the right psu input power at 1C. I parallel charge 6x 6s 5000's on each channel.
  7. Id love to build a few more but i just dont have the time, this one ate up much more time than i thought
  8. Thanks guys. Yeh they're not cheap to buy thats for sure. I had the chargers and p.s.u's already so bought the coolice icemeter to protect the icharger duo. the case i picked up for £20 from a mate and the rest was just time with the dremel, cutting and fabricating which i love doing way more than i should!.
  9. I got sick of having p.s.u's, chargers and cables all over the floor while charging lipos, so decided to mount them all into a nice impact case which a lot of folks are doing these days. This does my heli lipos and will do lipos for whichever truck i end up with this year (probably an xmaxx after coming on this forum!) spec- icharger 406 duo, icharger 208b, icemeter protection circuit, 2x hp dps1200 p.s.u's in series. This p.s.u set up can provide 25.5vdc @ 2400w 100A which means i can charge 12x 6s 5000mah lipos and all my rx packs @ 1c in 45 minutes http:// http:// http://
  10. 5S sounds like a good option guys. I had looked at a 5s arrma kraton before this but parts on the v2 are still limited. Its a shame more manufacturers dont go with the single lipo design on 1/8th trucks. Which 2s/3s lipos do you run?
  11. Thanks for the info guys. I had looked into the 6s option but do these trucks really hold up on 6s without falling apart?
  12. Hi folks, Which 2S lipos are you using with this truck? I was looking at turnigy/zippy's around 6000mah 30c. would these be enough around for 20 mins+ of light bashing?, im wondering wether 30c will be enough as im going up 1 tooth on the pinion, other than that it will be stock on 4S. ( i know from my helis the C rating on most of these can be hit or miss) Other than re-thread locking everything, would you recommend doing anything else before running?, diff oil etc?

    Traxxas X-Maxx.

That's a shocker. This truck has obviously been rushed out to hit the market at the right time to improve sales. Im guessing if they uprated the esc on the uk/European batches, everyone having already received it would want the same, so instead a fuse wire, price hike and fairly large delay is the perfect solution it seems!

surely this fuse wire mod is only for folks lucky enough to have received their trucks so far. I would imagine the delay with the uk batch is that they have either replaced or uprated the esc to prevent further issues. If the uk batch finally arrives with the same electronics and just a fuse wire installed after all this delay theres no way id accept the truck.
