  1. the one i replaced the original one with was a turnigy trackstar motor a friend lent me to try
  2. so after taking it out today, it was fine for a while and started doing it again. (with the new motor in) so looks like ill be changing both motor and esc now.
  3. i took the motor apart and there was what looks like a bushing stuck between the windings and the motor case. there is obviously a manufacturer error with this motor. however atleast i know its the motor now
  4. meshing is fine on the gears, it doesnt cog when the motor is out the chassis but after about 10-15 seconds of throttle the motor get too hot to hold.
  5. i havnt, i was hoping someone would know which one it might be so i dont end up ordering the wrong thing
  6. hi guys, ive just took my maverick strada MT(brushless) out for its first run. initially under load i was getting loads of cogging and it gradually got worse, to the point where it wouldn't move under full throttle. and then eventually go to the point where it wouldnt move at all. the motor was very hot along with the 3 bullet connectors. my question is what is likely to be faulty the motor or the ESC? thanks in advance.
  7. @Paul Busby ooo thats tempting to get, what are they made of?
  8. So today i installed my stainless steel screw kit. it took forever. Cannot say i would recommend the screw kit i bought, it doesn't seem like it was tailored for the strada at all. it was missing 23 screws i needed but came with LOADS of screws i didn't need and this is supposed to be for this car. As you can see by the pic this is the amount of screws i had left over. Not complaining about having free screws but i would rather have the correct ones i was missing than loads of surplus ones. the overall quality of the screws was good though, cant knock it.

  10. yes the 1080 can provide higher voltage to your servos, providing the servos support high voltage.
  11. Just fitted some ally C hubs and knuckles. got some CVDs coming on Saturday along with some ally hexs. struggling to find any ally rear hubs though.
  12. +1 for the slash. Also for running in the sand it may be work investing in some outerwears. you can cover your chassis, and shocks with them to help keep the sand out. but beaches in general are a massive pain when it comes to cleaning.
  13. That thing is an absolute weapon on 4S! do you have a top down pic of the chassis, interested in how your mounting the batteries. thanks
  14. brill, think im gonna order the maverick ones since theyre only £22, i'll see how i get on
  15. do you know the model name of the HSP monster truck?
  16. so mine got delivered today and im very impressed with the build quality for the price. one thing i did notice is the camber and toe out on the front was all over the place. Also the dogbone is very much on the verge of falling out on the front. i can see this being an issue. wonder if there is any CVD shaft available? other than that i saw on beyondRC's channel something about putting O rings in the drive cups.
  17. not too long then! brushless ones are pretty cheap. look abit plasticy to me though
  18. do we have a release date for these yet?
  19. does anyone know what the Chinese version of these chassis's are called?
  20. Couldnt find a strada owners club so i thought i would make one, as im getting one delivered on tuesday. admins feel free to delete this thread if there is already an owners. Does anyone know what chassis's share this platform so i can fine cheaper ally parts thanks.
