Unless it's private land or hey have a specific order banning the use the RC cars they actually tell you to jog on. We had a chat with a few police officers last year that were called on us due to noise and even they told us they can't do anything due them being toys.... Loud and noisy toys but they're still classed as toys so the police can't touch them. Any noise issues has to go to environmental health now and if the council want them banned form certain locations they have to apply for a court order which can take up to 6 weeks and the court won't grant it if it's only 'every now and then' that we go over.

I used the TGN filter that's at a 45 degree angle, worked very well.

Stock system with an outerwear is pretty hard to be beat to be honest, if you had to change it then get an angled stack.

I've been looking at a 23t myself to be honest, 50mph would be awesome for the X2! Remember that if you run 190mm tall wheels over the stock 180mm ones that add's 2mph to the top speed also.

No it's not but Doug limits the RPM on his porting on purpose because of the bearing issue. Still we'll see what the TTO says ;P

That 45mph is at 18,000rpm+ though.... So if you're engine doesn't get to that you'll be around the 40mph mark.

Well I'm clocking just over 45mph on mine with an ESP G320 and a 22t pinion... So you should be there or there about.

Well I finally got my G320 to rev with the BZM pipe fitted!! 18,100rpm! So will be interesting to see how your Bartolone does!

  11. One last ditch attempt with the Baja... Said it twice before but this is deifnitely the last rebuild... If I have to strip it down again, it'll be to service the parts and put them up for sale me thinks!

  12. This Baja is becoming so tedious and irritating, not to mention costly... Fed up of going round and round in circles (metaphorically speaking) and think it might be time for a change! :/

The new V5 version of the X2 doesn't have any anodised parts..... So no need to get anything stripped. The shell is actually rather nice when it's got a custom paint job on it. I agree the pre-painted designs are pretty minging but with the right scheme the stock shell is quite a looker. The V5's also have some improvements..... Like the chassis is now 7075 Alloy...and a few other additions.

A nice X2 would soon bring your mood up to a nicer place.... can't remember the last time my X2 broke..... It just goes and takes everything I have thrown at it..... And did I mention it's so much nicer to work on. I know you love your Baja's but maybe it's time to come over to the dark side? Everyone in my group that's moved from Baja's to the X2 have not regretted it in the slightest.

They've already shown a new 1/5th scale ( The MT ) last month so why were people expecting another?

  16. Chaps, is a CY clutch housing and clutch okay to use on a Zen engine? Not something I've done before so I don't want to needlessly strip my spare CY if I don't need to...

I use a CY clutch carrier and clutch on my G320 Dan and I've never had any problems.

  17. Chaps, can a 4.5mm bolt be had? Can't find any on eBay and wondering if maybe their is another size that's close... 5mm is too big and 4mm is too small, I don't want to drill the part out so hoping to get roughly a 4.5

Dan when I needed to make some pins on my old Baja I just search for ' 4mm Steel Rod' then bought a length of the stuff for like £10 and cut as many as I wanted.

I would helicoil it personally, kits are cheap and always useful as they've got me out of trouble on a fair few occasions.

You have to factor in runaways too.... Some of incidents are very high up and I would assume that any video or FPV equipment would not transmit a signal to the user therefore making flying the drone beyond possible.

We've all seen the videos on YouTube where they go crazy and just vanish up in the sky.

  21. 3hrs spent reading and watching videos on port timing and port modding, need to find a very cheap 1/5th scale lump to practice on. thinking start simple first and just open up exhaust ports and boost ports ( no need to go anywhere near that barrel liner then and screw everything up )

  22. really hoping i get the new job i interviewed for yesterday. more money, better hours. But best of all no more working every night!
