  1. Sounds like a clutch issue. Either bearings failed or spring has snapped. If you keep the wheels off the ground and brake does it stall? Alternatively its a low idle if it stall when you drop it on the ground from a height Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. When racing truggy im sure .28 is legal. Most opt for .21 for the fuel efficiency. For racing a truggy though i wouldnt look at a pullstart engine you will want something abit more robust. Aaron Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Id say its just a new and tight engine, some engines are tighter than others. My novarossi turned over easily new. Orion on the other hand, i had to make sure the flywheel had as much travel as possible hitting tdc or my starter box wasn't able to turn it over. I know i have been ruled out earlier but an engine that tight with a 12v battery will take a lot of trying to turn it over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Cant see a mention of what engine you have but if it uses turbo plugs, they are tapered and don't require a washer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Shouldnt do most starterbox's you can move the pins, as long as you have flywheel lined up you should be fine. Pullstart engines are usually rtr engines which arent usually as tight as race engines, keep that in mind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Another thing you may want to look at is your starterbox, i have a 4s lipo in mine which is abit overkill but when i have 12v battery break in was more of a struggle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. did it start but not keep running or not start at all? i dont usually loosen the glowplug for break in, but do so if you wish. Try upping the idle if it stops very quickly. It will keep locking until it loosens up, then you can aim for a lower idle.
  8. Sorry my mind is else where. My guess is you can use the 2 astro tracks but the main dirt one will be off limits. Its not unusual for racers to be there practising, but if it is empty im sure you can use it on the dirt track. As for spares i cant really help to much. Steering knuckles, arms things like that its helpful to have on hand. You should find its harder to break things on the the track compared to a carpark or road.
  9. The three tracks are : Dirt track- this is the main track you can use Astro 1/10th scale track- has blue track layout Astro 1/8 scale track- has orange piping like the dirt track. You would be free to use the dirt track and astro track with orange piping. I would also suggest that if you have any problems you ask the herts rc shop for help. They are great people and some of the people working there are great racers they really know their stuff about rc!
  10. It may be gummed up fuel in the carb, i fixed it by making note of the needle settings (high speed and low speed) completely unscrewing them, clean and screw back into the same settings. There may be a better way of doing it but that worked for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I dont quite understand what you mean by skip? You roll the car forward and it becomes hard to roll or you feel it jolt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yes, you want to look at how the clutch bell teeth and the spur gear teeth are meshing together. They can be too close together or too far away. I tend to judge it by hand and sight but some people say put a peice of paper inbetween them to find a good mesh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Could you get a video of that? Im assuming engine tune but i wouldnt want to say what to do until i see it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Make sure to checkout the link Ian W posted. The servo saver works differently to what i thought but my guess the plastic recommends to prize open is causing your problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. To set this straight you want to take off the servo horn, turn on your electronics. Have the trim on 0 or neutral then make sure the wheels are straight and put the servo horn back on. You may have to adjust the trim slightly but you shouldn't have to adjust it much Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
