  1. Damn this OBR has some power...... Aluminium gear carrier and other parts should prevent that from happening again.
  2. Spent 3 hours bashing with one today, I even did some driving of my own and it's awesome. It had some very, very rough landings and not a single breakage on it. Leo on here was at the bash and he has a genuine 5ive and he said that the 5ive is no stronger and he would recommend the X2 any day now he's seen one in the flesh. They're very very impressive and it will 100% be my next RC. Video's to follow.
  3. Yea it's been running for couple of days now..... un-drivable on 17/57 gearing due to the sheer torque but I had some 19/55 gears on the way. Out for a massive 5th scale bash today so they'll be few video of it.
  4. Can't wait to get my 19/55 gear set..... Old KM002C did 40mph with no tuning and the big cage installed so it should fly passed that...
  5. Yes I took it out for the first time yesterday..... UN-DRIVABLE on 17/57 gearing!
  6. My KM started easy with the 990 tbh.... Hold the throttle wide open..... 3-4 fast pulls...... set fail safe to let the engine start........ then 3-4 fast pulls and it would fire, sometimes less.
  7. That's because like my OBR your Outlaw has a high enough compression to pull the fuel through the engine, the same could not be said for the KM engine.

      HPI have the bodies on clearance and they're not THAT badly priced to be honest.

      Have you seen the chase cage grafil body panels it looks pretty nice.

  14. Steve these high compression engines are so much easier to start. With the WT-990 on my OBR it starts much much easier then my KM engine did with the WT-990 on.

  16. I cleaned up the inside of the manifold on my DOM clone as it was quite poor..... engine picked up better..... don't know if it was because of the smoother, less restrictive manifold or just a placebo effect.
  17. Cut my DOM clone pipe to make it a 2 piece part like the genuine DOM pipe.
  18. I'll be putting the Kraken all in one boots on mine..... Leo has a set on his Baja and they're amazing!

  20. This is all clean now and has a carb gasket and bolts fitted so this will just drop in and work now providing you have an exhaust. Nice back up engine.
  21. Clutch is fitted and the OBR is in... testing tomorrow. That clutch feels soooo much better then the king motor clutches and fills me with confidence that it will last.
  22. Ditched my King Motor 29cc engine and gone with a 29.5cc OBR Full Mod and now looking at gear options. It has the stock 17/57 at the moment which were even to short for the King Motor engine so god knows how bad they'll be for this OBR. I mainly bash on fields and very rarely in a tight area so I thinking 19/55 would be the best option for me? Or would 18/56 be better 'all round' gearing? Now onto exhausts, I have a DOM clone at the moment but thinking a side pipe would be better for top end RPM? I would imagine that even with a side pipe the engine should still have enough low down torque to spin the wheels?
