      People are always calling petrol, nitro... I simply asked if you meant nitro, because a] it happens a lot and b] I couldn't find anything on a 2 stroke 8ight.

      I was ASKING, not telling chap :)

      Either way, I like the 8ight-T... Then again, I always have and always will, but prefer it in electric form.

    Dynamite rc do a large scale deluxe driver set. It's perfect for the losi. The ball drivers are crap tho and will snap. Also get the Bosch Ixo electric driver, it will make things way easier.

      I don't really buy my rcs on looks. It's more about durability and fun factor.

      Well in my experience of the Losi 5ive, it's strong but not a whole lot of fun... I imagine the DBXL is much the same... I've seen some durability tests done on the X2 and can say it certainly looks strong... If you want a fun, loud, big RC, you want a Baja :)

      Also consider you get some upgrade parts with the X2 like a tuned pipe. Pipe alone for the DBXL could set you back

    The pipe that the x2 is going to be crap let's face it we are going to replace it for a sambo or bart etc.

    DBXL until they drop the x2 to 500 and look over certain quality issues. (That's if the plastic doesn't turn out to be crap on the x2)

    My old five took a major beating (huge jumps bad landing etcetc) and never broke a arm. This is why it was so durable. I presume I'm haven't used the same plastic for there arms hence the breakages. It really is quality of materials used that make the difference between strong and weak. My 5ives shell didn't last too long tho so I'm not shocked by km bodies not either

      It does say at the bottom of the description of the X2 iirc. Not many rc shells are painted now because screen printing them is more durable than paint.

    A mate who got one do Christmas is getting along just fine 10 tanks down and it's starting to come alive. Just killed one spark plug that Msuk replaced.

    Hpi seem to be getting somewhere with the updated models, manuals and carb settings. So the old problems seem to be fading slowly. It just seems like u need patience and abit of common sense like hemistorm He seems to of got somewhere with it. The only think that puts me off is that drone they make . Why don't they scream ! Lol not sure if it's a bad tune or what but they sound like a rich nitro all the time.

    I already have a "proper" petrol rc with my badger. I want something new to try my hands on. The only think It has to be is petrol and 4x4 and around 650. The Losi lst Xxl 2 really looks good but with it being a high revving low capacity engine like nitro will it be a PITA to tune ? The savage octane again looks like a nice truck and I love the integrated rollcage.
