  1. I've just listed a Hobbywing combo in the classifieds - includes a 3660 3200kv motor
  2. Brand new MAX10 combo - installed in to an Arrma Granite but never run - £100 posted 2 x Absima 6200mah 3s Lipo batteries, used in an Arrma Granite 3 times - kept storage charged, essentially brand new as can be seen - £40 each - these are collection/local drop-off only at the moment, Worthing, West Sussex

    All sold

Are these any use to anyone? Just been sat in my spares box - free but you pay postage The SR301 will only work with older Spektrum transmitters.
  5. What compound though? Predator compound is superb here in the UK - I used to run Pitbull rockbeasts which are a superb all-rounder but I've moved over to Proline Mud-Terrain KM3 in Predator compound for a Class 1 look and size and they are excellent. G8 compound is better for higher temperatures and less wear, Predator for low temperatures.
  6. Been ages since I posted - my SCX10 II's are still running strong - stripped down and regreased and replaced all the bearings on both models recently along with refilling the shocks. I've got some shims now to shim the ring/pinion gears in the axles next. My red bronco has been lowered via limiters in the shocks and now has Class 1 Mud Terrain tyres in Predator compound. Will both need new body shells soon, will likely go F150 Raptor or similar - wider and more scale looking with the current wheels and tyres. I am installing a winch on my red bronco too.
  7. How good are the shocks on these? are they smooth and do they leak? Also has anyone tried their upgrade proshocks 2?

    SOLD

Bought a few months ago from Modelsport and used 4 times. Each time has just been light off-road bashing and it hasn't seen any skate park use. You can see it's hardly been used by the tyres and wear to the body/chassis. No faults, ESC connector changed to XT90 and it's all good to go, all you need is batteries - the electrics were sent off under warranty where the motor was repaired and it runs fine now (faulty out of the box). Collection or local delivery preferred (Worthing, West Sussex) £250
  9. Not had any passion for RC recently... might end up selling the Granite 😞 I haven't tested them yet, but need to if I sell.
  10. Also I got the stock electrics back, the service centre replaced the front bearing in the motor... Not tested yet, but it would seem odd if that was the source of all my problems, I guess I need to fit and test it 🙄
  11. I know... haha! I use these, seem pretty decent so far in terms of value vs run time: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/absima-power-tank-lipo-11.1v.-60c-6200-hardcase-xt90-plug--1335945
  12. Added a hobbywing combo and SRT DL5020 to my Granite 3s BLX - due to problems with the stock ESC/Motor. Stock kit is going back for testing under warranty as it didn't run right stock. Always loved Hobbywing products, been using them since the old WP-SC8 days and the Max10 SCT / 3200kv 3660 combo is superb (ran one a while back in an old Axial Yeti) - never let me down
  13. Haven't had a chance to test it outside but just bench testing / living room floor the Hobbywing combo is super smooth (how I remember it) and infinitely better than the stock electrics, which definitely leads me to believe there was an issue with them. Also added one of my favourite servos, an SRT DL5020 with the Arrma servo saver which is a bit weak to be fair.
  14. I checked the mesh out of the box and it was fine 🙂 see how the hobbywing combo works, I had one in my old Axial Yeti and it was a great combo so hoping for good results in this too.
  15. I have calibrated and re-bound the TX/RX and ESC - putting the ESC on punch mode 5 seems to have made it a little better but it still isn't anywhere near as controllable as I feel it should be. The motor/ESC are going back to modelsport for them to test, see what they say. I do have a MAX10 SCT / 3200kv combo coming too so I won't have any downtime and also to see how it runs on that vs the stock and see if it is just geared too high out of the box or to see if it is an electrics issue. I'll try it on the stock TX/RX first, but will be dropping in a Spektrum receiver to use with my own gear afterwards if I find the SLT3 system to be sluggish.
  16. I've reached out to Modelsport as I don't think my Granite is running right, it is still stalling if you get stuck in long grass or are on an incline, but it didn't cut out when running normally at speed today. I did have to go grab it a few times though due to the lack of power when trying to get moving, so hopefully it gets sorted. I was just going to bite the bullet and get a Max10 SCT + 3660 3200kv Motor but I feel like it should run fairly well out of the box. As it stands, it has no lower speed control and just goes off like a rocket and isn't very controlable.
  17. Bashed it, had some power issues but I think it's down to me not calibrating the ESC (been a long time since I had a new RC and forgot this step, I just ran it out of the box)
  18. First bash today, went well and nothing broke. It handles and jumps really well. However I was having some power issues, but I completely forgot to calibrate the transmitter when I got it so it might have just been that. The motor kept stalling and the ESC shut it off twice, but for the most part it was running well and with tons of power, so now I've calibrated the transmitter and turned the punch down to 2 I should be ok.
  19. Hopefully taking it out tomorrow morning for its maiden run, batteries charged and ready to go
  20. Just need another car 😉 can't let that V8 go, they won't be around much longer and nothing makes a sound quite like them.
  21. My other half is 300 miles away in North Wales - and I drive an old 2008 Ford Focus 1.8 Petrol, averaging around 34mpg as per the cars display. That's a £100 round trip every time I want to see her 🙄 I would love to get a more economical diesel, but hopefully moving in together relatively soon.
