  1. I did some research into springs that would fit my Pro-line Powerstroke Scaler shocks, and it turns out these Axial dual rate ones fit. I compiled this table to help me see what I needed, so I thought to add it here as reference. I think the 20mm springs I currently have will do, and I just need more spring rate on the larger, 40mm ones. I have no idea what rate my current ones are so I've had to buy a selection, just to make sure, so I got green, yellow, and blue from RC Mart. 12.5x20mm 3.6 lbs/in - Super Soft Red http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30200 4.32 lbs/in - Soft White http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30201 5.44 lbs/in - Medium Green http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30202 6.53 lbs/in - Firm Yellow http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30203 7.95 lbs/in - Super Firm Blue http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30204 12.5x40mm 2.7 lbs/in - Super Soft Red http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30205 3.6 lbs/in - Soft White http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30206 4.08 lbs/in - Medium Green http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30207 5.44 lbs/in - Firm Yellow http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30208 6.81 lbs/in - Super Firm Blue http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax30209
  2. Thread not showing as having new posts made in them.
  3. Steering Rack's VP, yeah. It may do aye, but it's a tough servo so I'll risk it and see what happens.
  4. Goodbye servo saver - it's been.... emotional. I just hope this VP nugget doesn't go snapping on me.
  5. Ok thanks for the clarification. I'm going to see how it runs on a proper trailing day then decide. On the label of the foams, there's a "Foams 101" written, and I found this paragraph very interesting. I know the guy at CI always advises venting tyres, and I guess he's confident that water getting in isn't such a big deal... I'm also going to need to get stiffer springs, because with all the weight now on that body shell, it rocks left and right way too much. It's a bit of a pain when side hilling, and even crawling as it wants to unbalance.
  6. Did some messing in the garden earlier. I really am tempted to vent them.
  7. Due to the rain we've decided to put this back a week. Damn you, autumn!
  8. So normally I vent the tyres, not the wheels. In this case I've not vented anything - does your method of compressing the tyres before tightening up the beadlocks still apply? Also, what is "CH"?
  9. Mud Pig's new shoes are finally on and ready for Sunday's excursion. Usually I vent my tyres with small holes in them, but I'm going to see how I get on with no vents in them. There seems to be a 50/50 split on opinion on the Voodoo FB page, so I'm opting for letting less water in. For anyone thinking of getting some, note the direction of the tread, don't go getting them backwards.
  10. Wow you're going full-on, I like it!
  11. Another useful find from the Axial blog:
  12. Those wheels are also on Liquid RC aren't they? Shipping = $1 worldwide.
  13. After all my testing various weights (covered in my build thread), I've actually gone back close to stock. 30 up front and 20 in the rear. The next time i refill them, I'm going 10 in the rear (which is stock) to see if it cuts out the kicking up even more.
  14. I spent a fair bit of time tuning my suspension. When driving it, keep your eye on the rear for too much sag. If you're using a heavy battery, then like me, you may find you lose too much ride height with the stock springs and might want to go for something stiffer. Only way to tell there is to drive it though and see where your preferences lie.
  15. And the Vanquish F9 axles are released, and only £170 a pair!!! They really are works of art. http://www.vanquishproducts.com/scx-currie-axles-1/
  16. Fitting it would seem the sensible option
  17. On your first run, and if you're on 3S, go easy on it to start with. It's a bit bonkers and the tendency is to really boot it, but that's when you crash it and snap something, lol And if you're ever up in the East Mids, give me a shout and we'll do some Yeti racing!
  18. Couldn't say - I've neither used any of their stuff and read much about them - it'd be a punt. The DinkyRC one above that I linked certainly doesn't collect dirt in any major way. Re. the hexes, the ones you get with the yeti are ally. I'm not sure to which part of my thread you refer, but as long as the chap who you're buying from hasn't swapped from for some plastic alternative, you'll be all right on that front.
  19. Until I got the (uh oh dirty word coming!) Vanquish Curry, I used this on my stock axle with great success http://www.rcmart.com/dmgs-wraith-ar60-axle-skid-rear-yeti-blue-axial-p-59822.html?cPath=595_1160_1633 Another option, take a look at the last page on my yeti thread, T-bone red skid, looks ace.
  20. I like how you ordered the lockouts too - and so the needless and obsessive upgrading commences I salute you, a man after my own heart
