  1. Ok check my LiPO on the charge after a run, stopped running the car a few second before the LVC kicked in as I could see that the car had slowed.... ON the charger, read that one cell was at 3.28v and the other two circa 3.34V...so me thinks I will leave it at the 3.4v setting....
  2. Also looking a bit further my ESC is probably good for around 3500KV motors but no higher...SO looks like a combo is in order oh what a shame that will be....NOT
  3. I have seen that before but that's a lot of inputting of values I don't know of my vehicle... I calculated mine on known values as from what I understand a `volts x motor KV' is max RPM (not under load)...but the speed is taken from real time data, the only flaw is that the fact the RPM will be down from its top rate, but this difference would be mitaged to a degree from the telemetry taken as the top speed is based on GPS reading, this should capture the gearing ratio, weight, rolling resistance (on grass), difference in RPM reduction etc. So hopefully now that across grass...I know with in a little 3600kv motor will get me around the 45mph, but if I want to get to 50mph I need to look at 4000kv motors...
  4. I want to upgrade the motor in my truggy but want to ask if this is the way to do it: My current motors all I know about it is that is a 3065KV brushless/sensorless, so to work out its current performance as a bench mark: 3065KV x 11.1V = 34,021.5 is its top RPM I now know in my truggy with all the ratio of gearing that approx. 34,021.5 will get me to 39.1mph (So 870.11RPM will get me 1mph) So that as a rough guide is my starting point...... So if I shove in a 3600KV and run the same math: 3600KV x 11.1v should top out at 39,960RPM So 36,960RPM / 870.11RPM = Should get me up to 45.9mph or a 4000KV x 11.1v should see 44,400RPM and 44,440PRM / 870.11RPM + Should see me at 51MPH (which is pretty much a firestorm Flux at full chat) I know this will depend very much on the battery and the `C' Rating and the I guess the ESC?...but as a guide I reckon it probably not a million miles away... I have also worked out percentage speed increases for changing pinions and spurs but that's something else....
  5. Car's top speed 39.1mph....must go faster

  6. Cheers for you recommendations. I was looking at he badlands as i have heard a lot of good things on them and did see the hawng on cml web site Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  7. After all the advise I have been given for LiPO charging...1C no more unless the battery states it.. So that is: 5000mah @ 5Amps 5600mah @ 5.6Amps To go above that based on a `guess' or a `thought' is asking for it really IMO.
  8. Wooohooooo that's great news....time to go shopping for tyres as mine shortly will be as bald as a badger's A
  9. that always foxes me.....I keep thinking 3c for 3 `C'ells.....what does the `s` actually mean? Any way onward and upwards......next get over 40, but think running on tarmac should see that I reckon....if so next stop 45mph
  10. Well today was a nice day out so car in hand and my 3S LiPO fully charged....I set out to se what the speed difference is from my NiMH.. Now I know that my NiMH's on Concrete will max out at 28mph..........which is fun.... But today was the ultimate test....so after getting the car up and running for about 5mins...making sure it was running fine...I then strapped my phone as my Data logger (which recorded the above speed) and set out with few fast passes on Grass (Avoided the hard stuff for the moment) and I was pleasantly pleased with the results: 39.1mph....and plenty of wheelie popping....and great fun
  11. Sorry the context of the what I meant was different. .. do control mine with a combo of flashes and beeps
  12. Tyre, help please... Here is a mark up of the dims for my current wheels.....would a standard 2.2" 50mm off road fit on this?
  13. I want to control mine... 1 - To change LVC setting between NiMH batteries (I use now for bashing) and LiPO battery for top speed carnage fun 2 - Need one to adjust the punch between the two battery types Other than that I have no need to touch the settings....
  14. Cheers Optimus, the Vandal seems like a good price for general thrashing around and at
  15. Stripped the car down, to clean and realised why it's was very lively on the back end yesterday in the evening....i was thinking it was damp grass....nope....The grub screw for the cup end of the main drive shaft had unwound turning my 4x4 in 2wd on the rear.....so all stripped apart and clean ready to fight another day. Posted by me ????

  17. Roger that....but the TAMCO has good to cut my teeth on...its not all bad it only one part that is alluding me but the alternative I have part is much better...LOL....so can't complain and Amerang have always answered every email I have sent with in 1 day....so that has been pretty good also and most of their responses have been helpful....most places like Hobby stores and RC spares have a number of bits in and shipments are coming in (very few and far between). But a more well known make will probably be better and make a nice little project for me as well.....now I sort of know what I am doing.
  18. As spares for mine are Ok, but the odd part is PITA to get. So was thinking get a roller rip the guts out of my Raider and shove them in something else....where parts would be easier to get hold off. Also people never know what to get me for Crimbo so if I get my current chassis to then and then rebuild in the new year... So are BSD BS701g any good?
  19. I use the beep and flashes for most things on mine.....which is pretty easy to use. I will get a programme card as it provides me with a more advance set of adjustments. As the basic wont allow me to alter punch and max brake force, but everything else is programmable straight off the ESC.
  20. ok, got it......cheers for your help....mine have offset
  21. Ok will have a look, might have to get a road and off road set...... Also can I assume 0 offset....means it is slap bang in the middle of the wheel?
  22. Ok, will keep an eye on them, I wont reduce the LVC just yet then.. Cheers for your help, I know I ask a lot of questions but the help you have all given is really cool and appreciated.
  23. After my last run it took just over 2700, and its a 3200 20C 3s...although that is my first proper charge of it...although my transmitter batteries started running low...so it may have dropped out of range and then me thinking it hit the LVC...instead of it actually hitting the LVC
  24. Ok, cool will have a little looksey and see what happens.....
