  7. Hi guys, can I get in on that if its at templenewsham ? I will bring my savages and the trophy . Am new here and to rc but loving it. My wallets not tho..
  8. Ok so if I put a xerun 150amp and just fiddle with the gearing I should be ok to go,,, thanks guys. Does any one know of a harder axel cup /drive cup than the stock in the xs too? Trashed them too....haha
  9. Thanks paul... would a say 12 tooth not be under geared for a 44 spur tho? Also I am still a bit confused as to why it set on fire.... I only drove out my garden gate , not even 30 seconds run, the things that were diffrent from my last run are the new turnigy 5000 40c 3s bats bullit proof front and rear diff and alza center diff, as I said I dont know the gearing in the diffs but he did say it was going to be quicker than my stock. All was unused and new of chap on ebay which I collected. Does any one think the esc should have handeld them bats or not?
  10. I was using overlanders 4200 3s but never got full run times becouse I bash till I break..... which does not usually take long. But about half hour I would say on them batterys. About the same in the trophy too. And yes if I run the batterys out with out breakages I call that a total success.
  11. Thanks guys. I dont know about the gearing in th alza center diff, I bought second hand but un used.... will try find out, as for the batterys I used brand new turnigy 5000 3s 30 to 40 c. Did not even get a miniutes run time before it set on fire so no time to check temps.. but now I know what to do so thanks guys. I am still a newbie only started about 6 months ago, have upgraded every car I have.....ha ha I have a trophy fux on 6s that is so fast its rediculas so I want the savages to be strong....and not on fire would be good
  12. Ok thats good news thanks wrighty, if its just piniun then I will stay on the 44 spur. You have done alot. Can you tell me the difference between the alza centre diff and the stock on last years. I bought it and bullet proof front and back of ebay fitted them put new batterys in and thats when it went boooom....
  13. Ok so if I put in a xerun 150 amp what gearing you guys think would be best ? I am trying to make ultimate basher. So top end is not so important. I am using 2000 kv motor the big joes and all else you would expect. Ie alza dif brace , rpm, 17mm convertion intigy hubs ....
  14. Your right stretch, yes I looked at modelsport... if I bang in a hobbywing will that handle those batterys. What gearing should I be on?
  15. Just checked and the flux blur is rated by hpi to be over 150amp as o thought, so I am stumped
  16. Ok I thought it was 150amp.... I have been running overlander 4200 3s x2 with no problems. But that was before the big ass wheels. My pinion is still 25 on 44 alza raceing centre diff and replaced both front and rear to bullit proof diffs. But could it just be the piniun.?? Like I said I ran the batterys down completely doing long speed runs and it was ok. The wires melted on second run but I have bullet conectors in middel witch I taped together....dur... that melted. Third run boom.. fire in seconds...
  17. Thanks guys... the batterys are two 3s and the esc is 150amp. The motor is dropped to a 2000kv . All worked really well on the first runtemps were well within. Did not go over 140. On either motor or esc..... and battefys fine in trophy no issues at all. That I also upgraded motor and esc temp ok in that
  18. I have just fried my esc in my savage flux xl. Its a flux blur and have not had any issues with it untill now. I just put big joes on and new batterys, ran once all good charged batterys back up on a ballence charge and whithin seconds of running a second time the solder and wires melted... I fixed that went back out and the esc went up in flames..... I do have another flux blur to go in but dont want to do that till I get some advice as I am still a newbie... also the batterys are turnigy 5000 high discgarge. The trophy flux handeld these batterys just fine and thats got a hobbywing 150 amp,, half the cost and not up in smoke.. any way any advice would be great thanks..
  19. bigjimknickers... about your queries, I have a trophy flux buggy and I soon put the hobbywing 150 amp esc in and found that very little else is needed for this to be insainly fast, I did find however that the 1950kv motor was delivering so much power on 6s that the front end was always up .... so I swopped it with my savage flux xl and found the 2200 kv keeps the front end down and you can accelerate in a strait line... fast...fast. any way apart from that upgrade the hubs and knuckles and your good to go..
