  1. Dx7s arrived. All set up using helifreaks beginner setup. Makes it much more stable and seems soich easier to hover. Gonna get these kids to bed soon and give it another go
  2. Not yet. I've had it out a few times but with a 6 month old daughter and my other two girls (5 and 6) its hard to find an evening with an empty living room. DX7s arrives tomorrow though so I'll be kicking them out lol.
  3. Really easy to roll on gymkhanas though!! Lol Agreed, I have both nitro and flux, and my nitro is fast becoming a well tuned aunament, along with my TS4n. A well tuned .15 engine is reliable and quiet, as anyone with an rs4 or old rush would know, but as its been said, the wr8 isn't a .15, nor is it quiet. You need a park to avoid upsetting neighbours. So to round up, if you've got a flux, and want something nitro, there's loads to choose from but I wouldn't make my decision a wr8. There's a supernitro on eBay at the moment that would definitely be attractive though.
  4. Nothing. Judging by tracking, my DX7S should arrive tomorrow... When I have work in the morning and a wedding to attend in the afternoon. FML I'm never gonna be able to play with it!
  5. Same, drivetrain on both flux and nitro is perfect with the one exception of the two clutchbell bearings. I wouldn't be too worried if I hadn't had one fall apart when changing them.... Lol
  6. They are good. But the clutch bell bearings aren't the right size.... Haven't got round to asking them why.... Although my car was second hand so might need to check the bell is original...
  7. Ended up buying a brand new dx7s yesterday from west London models via eBay. Excited much?!
  8. Cardboard boxes to move house with. However, Very disappointed with parcel force. Its pouring with rain and having not answered the door (toilet break at a bad time!) they decided it was faster to lob them over the back gate than write a red card. Luckily all items were fine but if I'd been out that would have been another matter. Royal mail got bought and turned to
  9. Thankyou everyone for your responses. All very useful information. I am opting to get a DX6i for now but very much like the look of a DX8. Need another flyer next lol.
  10. Heya all. Two weeks ago I bought a rtf nano cpx which I love playing with, but its very twitchy so I want to get a new programmable tx. Everyone seems to say the DX6i but I am wondering if there is enough room to grow with that controller. It would be worth noting that I would like to venture into planes and (slightly) larger helis and multicopters but funds don't permit much more than an interest so budgets of those is very unknown. Thanks for any tips guys. Jim
  11. I'm presuming spares are readily available but a steady hand and fine soldering is required?
  12. How do you maintain such a clean model? Lol. Mines clean but yours looks near new! Thanks for the tips. I'm waiting for a load of the standard arms to arrive so I'll have to break them first but will follow suit next time! Very nice cable tidy too
  13. Flew mine this afternoon for its second flight, but first time it could actually be called a "flight". I managed to maintain control for about 30 seconds in my living room and plan on more this evening. More batteries and a parallel charger is a must so will be buying that very soon but I've also got a wr8 in bits so need to get some repair parts for that first.
  14. I'm confused... What's all this about glitchbusters and capacitors? Are servos not just plug and play???
  15. I would imagine the HPI plazma? How do you find out your speed? Does the castle link have that feature?
  16. Fair comment. I'll put up another shelf then NLFS Anyone want the spare chassis?
  17. Yesterday : After run oil Air filter oil 7k TA diff fluid 10k TA diff fluid Wr8 flux bearing kit from rcbearings Wr8 nitro bearing kit from rcbearings Today : Nothing?!?
  18. Yesterday rebuilt most of my nitro wr8 to fit rcbearings kit. New diff's haven't arrived so looks like I'll be rebuilding the flux today to fit that ones set of bearings.
  19. Hiya all. Having owned a hubsan x4 for 5 minutes I have grown a soft spot for flying so thought I'd treat myself to a sharp learning curve and bought myself a blade nano-cpx. Read the destructions (first for everything!) and charged the flatteries. Popped one in for a quick go before bed and really enjoyed it, although I did more crashing then flying! Definitely going to play with the quad some more before I break something or someone but absolutely love it!
  20. Shame you're not local, I'd say come and have a play...
  21. Today's toys. Postie has a load more tomorrow and there's a fair bit on backorder too
