  1. Lost part of my spoiler Not happy! On the other hand, moved house, and I've gained permission to put an rc track in the garden, WITH A RALLYCROSS TARMAC CORNER!! [emoji12] [emoji13]
  2. Awesome! I'll find some of my girls bands in the morning
  3. Is that elastic bands around your landing skids?
  4. http://instagram.com/p/tLKQ9IlHhv/
  5. And now HPI have reposted the same footage and called it "super cool sneak peak from @kblock43" Guess that's confirmation!! Time to start saving gentlemen!!!
  6. He's just uploaded a video to Instagram. It consists of lots of rolling.... And some donuts.
  7. From Ken Block himself, with HPI racing tagged in it These are NOT the version that was released as prizes that featured in the HPI gymkhana video. Therefore.... I may well be introducing the new fiesta shell!! [emoji106] [emoji13]
  8. Love it! I'm really rather envious! Can't wait till this house move has finished and I can spend some money again!!!
  9. Think we block fans are in for a great treat soon.... And the hpi comment halfway down.....
  10. Lol. Could well be...but one sold on eBay for
  11. Lol. Things like that don't really phase me. I get more upset if the kids put their plates the wrong side of the sink. Lol Flattened by a zafira. RX batteries glitches out with no failsafe. Shrugged it off.... All goes into the experience pot
  12. Lmao I'm surprised it wasn't more damaged. Need to check over it a bit more thoroughly. We buy these things to use em! Edit: thank the rc gods that I was using the 2s to test handling!
  13. http://youtu.be/YItwqAyQxKY Its just the thud.... After that its just the floor being filmed. Managed to find my priorities.
  14. Crashed it. Don't try filming yourself bashing. Full pelt into a curb (yes, while watching my driving skills on my phone screen) and I need a new bumper.
  15. I've discovered.... Concentrating on a phone camera while trying to film your car is really easy. Controlling the car is the hard bit. Cracked the shell too. [emoji35] The video of crashing is funny though. So amusing I might upload it later. On the bright side, my setup works very well. Its got a bit more under steer than I was hoping for so I think I need to soften or raise the front a tad to balance it out. It drifts brilliantly though, I'm really impressed. Didn't even look like it was leaning too, which is what I feel is important when you're pelting around on tarmac.
  16. BT vision here with entertainment pack and HD sport. Can't fault it. Homehub 5 is awesome and TV has massive storage on recordable box. Plus you get to say naff off to virgin and sky when you get collared by a salesman.
  17. Loving this heli. Want to get a bigger one to use outside as I don't have much space indoors and don't have the guts to take it out just yet. Lol. One thing I have noticed though is it fly's much better WITHOUT the tail fin....? With it, it tends to make the boom vibrate a lot but without, it seems more responsive to small adjustments and generally feels more controllable...?
  18. Blutac. Every modellers best friend. Masking, holding, diff welding, shielding, sticking instructions to walls... Endless list!
  19. This makes me exceedingly happy.
  20. I was hoping that it was someone from here that bought it, and I hope you're going to be gentle with it...? ! Look at what I have to endure being sat next to my mint global rallycross shell for my 3.0. New stance after setting it up as previous post. And how the car sits.... Not ideal being so nose down, but will probably drift around like a 1:1 hoonigan. Any thoughts? PS: I have brand new wheels and tyres mounted but they are both packed and for shelf use only at the moment... Previous owner appears to have given this car quite a beating, but there's not much wear on the chassis itself, so wasn't used much.
  21. I decided that as its the weekend I'd dig through the packed moving boxes and find the rc stuff. Now I've got my micro rs4 controller, and my flux controller, batteries charger and my toolkit. All charged and ready to go. Had a tinker too. Cleared out the ESC fan which had a few bits of grass in. Expected more as it still had the sticker on meaning it had never been apart but it was only a few dried up blades of grass. Tightened the rear antiroll bar and then had an idea that I want to test. Well we all know that the stock wr8 with the shell on sits about right on the rear, and high on the front (vs the 1:1 car) Well I've looked at how it all twists and turns, leans and rolls. (I should say this was done on the kitchen table) Jason, you mentioned droop screws to level out the lower arms. Ultimately, this would give the chassis a bit of touring car stance. Tight springs with fast recoil on a low CoG chassis. Exactly what you need from a tarmac munching gymkhana animal. (In 1:1 anyway, but the same principles still apply in r/c AFAIK?) I looked at the way the camber is effected at different ride heights on the stock wr8 and at the same time I was toying with Ackerman's principle of steering, and the amount of contact the tyres have with the surface the car is sat on (again, I've only one test subject so far but fairly confident it is sufficient). And while I was doing all of this I was trying to get as close to ken blocks stance as possible without becoming a sand plow. I'm going to get some decent droop screws and test the following: Rear anti roll bar - short Front anti roll bar - stock (about 1-2mm showing) Rear ride height - 12-15mm Front ride height - 10-12mm Preload - standard (front and rear) Without the screws actually fitted its impossible to be certain of anything, but at these positions I really think it will be a much more controllable on roader, and by unwinding the droop screws its back to off road bashing. If I'm completely wrong, either by me trying it or if its already been done, I'll edit this post to avoid anyone wasting time. PS : this setup still won't come even close to mikes superduperwr8tourer, but I hope it will improve what we all have on stock equipment. Jim [emoji106]
  22. Keep it mate I'll definitely have it off you, just gotta justify it with "her..." Lol
