  1. I picked this up last night for fifty quid...a Traxxas Bandit, I only want it for a bit of fun really, are they any good? Rich
  2. It's amazing how these ideas pop into your head. I had the idea of putting a Kamtec VW campervan shell on my Blizzard chassis...it fits, and I think it looks pretty good. Rich
  3. Maybe you're right...it would look a bit weird. Rich
  4. I'm looking at this on eBay...it's the sort of thing I'm after, just hope it'll fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-58441-Buggy-Champ-2009-9335552-19335552-Body-Shell-NIP-/291099505370?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item43c6e1f2da Rich
  5. Chaps, is there a sort of buggy/crawler type bodyshell that will fit my Pumpkin chassis? I'd like to have something that I can use with it whilst I've got my 'L' plates on rather than scratch and scrape the truck shell. Rich
  6. I bought a set of those for my Volvo FH12, I'll invest in a set for this one as well. Thanks for the tip.. Rich
  7. Excellent....bought and paid for! Thanks ever so much for that, much appreciated! Rich
  8. Does anybody know if there's a better looking set of wheels available to fit the Midnight Pumpkin? The ones in my kit are yellow...I hate yellow, they look awful to me. A nice set of chrome plated ones would be nice...where would I get a set? Any ideas? Cheers, Rich
  9. My postman was cursing me this morning, two large boxes arrived...one had a Bruder lowloader trailer inside, the other had my Midnight Pumpkin Black in it (thanks Modelsports for the excellent service!) And my electric bill... Rich
  10. Can I be added to the list, please? My Midnight Pumpkin should be here tomorrow with a bit of luck. I'll build it as per the instructions to start with, then I can start changing things on it once I've got the hang of using it. Rich
  11. Here's an antique picture of the Mardave stock car days...mine is far left, sprayed up in Pickfords colours (I used to work for them back then) Rich
  12. I haven't got that far yet, but when the time comes, I'll probably use my Planet T5. I've had a couple of them in the past, they always seem to be good radios. I prefer pistol grip radios due to the disability in my hands and fingers ( I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis in my hands, wrists and fingers ) but the T5 will have to do for a while. Rich
  13. Hi, and thanks for the welcome! Yep, the Volvo is my first truck build, the Blizzard came practically RTR, so I didn't learn much from that. The Midnight Pumpkin should be here tomorrow, but these are the first models with wheels that I've built in a long time...the last ones were the good old Mardave 1/8th scale stock cars. It's a vertical learning curve for me, the Volvo is driving me mad with all those tiny little screws and E clips...the carpet monster has been well fed recently! Rich
  14. Hi guys and girls, Just joined up to your forum...I'm Richard, I live in Polegate(Sussex),now retired/disabled after a forty plus year trucking career. I've been into r/c for more years than I care to remember, built everything from boats of all sorts, submarines, helis, and recently got back into r/c trucks. Used to race 1/8th scale ic stock cars down at Worthing and Crawley many years ago, but now I'm into more sedate models. At present I'm building a Tamiya Volvo FH12 truck to go with my Bruder lowloader trailer, and a Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin, and I already have a much modified Kyosho Blizzard. That's about it really...I'm just a boring old fart nowadays. Rich
