  1. I did do the mod! But you will need a bec to drop the voltage on a 2s lipo I also fitted an on off push button switch with lipo low voltage cut put built in if I remember, you will need to open out the front of the battery tray plastic in the fron of the base to fit it all in, honestly if I were to do it again I wouldn't bother just get rechargeable aa or get a fly sky gt3c it has a lipo pre fitted.

Spektrum all the way for me - i've got the DX5R and DX5 Rugged. The quality is way above the Flysky stuff IMO. The genuine DSMR receivers are a lot cheaper than they used to be - about £23 for the new SR215 2ch's.

My personal view on radio's is similar to buying ditchfinder tyres on performance 1:1 cars. We spend a lot of money on these RC's and they're getting more and more powerful. Relying on budget radio gear to keep these things under control is a false economy IMO :good:

Does the dx5 rugged have multiple model memory? Can't see it on the specs.

  3. Super glue will work just be careful  as it will harden the leather,  contact adhesives although correct for leather wont work on this application, however having said that it depends on the loading of the repair eg if your just resticking the inner strap to the outer it should work fine!

Sweet thanks. Do you know any more information about the Rampage? Is it any good? How old is it likely to be? Cheers

I had the outrage which shared some parts and was my first new nitro, honestly it wasn't all that good I could never get it to run right despite many hours of tinkering and got a hyper tq2 for the next season, age wise haven't realy a clue but I had mine 5 years ago and used to get spares from blacksmith products. Hope that's of some use!
