Motor size or cc doesn't matter they all tune the same.. The thing is though, those are starting points for the needles. No 2 motors are exactly the same, so therefore, no 2 carbs can be tuned exactly the same.
The best thing to do is start rich so it's blubbering when it's running. Warm it up by running it around for a few minutes, then start to lean it down a bit starting with the LS needle. Get it so it will idle and then start on the HS needle. But it HAS TO BE UP TO OPERATING TEMP!!! You can't tune a cold motor, because as it warms up, it will lean out. So if you have it all tuned in when the motor is cold, once it warms up you'll be on the verge of a lean seize!
Fuel atomizes better when it's hot, so the fuel is more of a vapor when it's hot, but still in droplet form when it's cold or below operating temp. So wait until it's hot to tune.
You don't need a temp gun or anything like that. Just a good set of ear plugs to keep your Ghost pipe from destroying your hearing! lol
Take the back wheels off your car, place the chassis on something that gets the whole car off the ground grab some ear plugs and follow this video.
BTW, that's me in the vid talking. lol. Oh and sorry about the arm in the way.
You won't hurt it to rev the nuts off of it, this is the way I've been doing it for years.
