  1. I ordered pretty much all blue parts from him and tbf some fit fine. But some don't. No way to put the body shell pegs on etc and the suspension makes the car sit very low. Much lower than usual Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  2. She's running sweet. I clean it way to much. I.e strip down and clean Lol In regards to upgrades turns out as I added things like rear and front shock towers things didn't match up. Suspension was too low and rear body shell pegs wouldn't fit on. The suspension fits okish and the front and rear hub carriers etc. I found the parts on eBay. One item is something like 102004. Should bring it all up. Not all parts are 100 percent compatible I've taken all metal parts off minus wheel hubs etc. I wanted to ask if anyone knew any decent fitted metal parts for this thing? I love blue and just want it blue and black lol. Also is it time for new wheel nuts if one flies off constantly? Had the offside rear one come of twice in a 20 min sesh. Wheel just rolled off. Found but first time but no idea where it went second time. Didn't know if its the nylon or maybe the hub thinmajiggy as I change wheels oftern Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  3. Changed and dusted. Pretty strange I was worried taking this apart but ive changed pretty much everything to anodised blue parts lol. Had it stripped down to absolute bare parts within 30 mins and put back together in no time Good for me as the car is pretty good with t-drifts on. Has anyone ever brought a replacement anodised radio tray for them? Some hsp versions on ebay but the one I brought was a bit longer in length. Also any tips on tyres for outside drifting? My original drift wheels wore down almost instantaneously outside. I change wheels around alot depending if I have a place I can drift on otherwise it has TC tyres on being hammered round a carpark :-) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  4. lol yea i knew the minute i took it out something was gonna break. im a helicopter man, 3D flyer, but growing out of helicopters now and the wind in the UK is just rubbish. wind, rain, more rain, some extra rain and some wind. so i decided to get into RC cars again lol i knew i would have to strip this badboy down one day, but not after the 2nd run on it lol. had it 4 days and had 4x 5000mah lipos on it so far and the only thing to break is the bloody chassis front ( not happy ) but i will take your advice and take it slow i was thinking on doing it bit by bit. i.e front wheels / gearbox, then servo , then onto the rear with entire rear, place ESC and switch and replace metal alu bar after. i knew " holding it upsid down and replacing screws" seemed a bit too real to be true, but i got to learn how to take this thing apart some day aye? tbh, ive changed the plastic drift wheels to rubber TC tyres and love buzzing it around the carpark full pelt. thanks again for all replys, my chasis is due tuesday, i will get some A4 paper and put an outline of my chassis on it and place screws where there suppose to go. did a dummy run today with taking it apart and i realised the steering servo has some sort of metal tube on the long screw that goes from underneath to the top so i might need pliers. sorry to seem like a noob to everything but i was kind of hoping my first crash would be a wheel, or maybe a dogbone. not the flaming chassis front lol
  5. thanks for reply, but as i have been looking at it for last 20 mins trying to find an easy way ( as i await shipment of new chassis ) looks easier maybe to undo the front 9 screws, unscrew the front aluminum plate and refit the front end / servo into new chassis. then undo the 10 back screws and fit the read end after sticking ESC back down, then re fitting the plate. would that be easier? i was hoping for a case of like what LEE_H said and just flip it over and undo all the screws, lift off old chassis and just pop new one on and re screw it in, but it doesnt look that easy lol. things will fall everywhere n shiz. plus i need to unstick ESC as it looks taped down, ( or maybe wires holding it in ) would what i said work? or can i do as you say and just simply unscrew everything, and re align it all up on new chassis carefully and rescrew it all regards
  6. sup laides and gentlemen. quick question, i maanged to plough my strada DC evo S into a curb today it was damaged, but only the front part of the chassis which holds the bodyshell pegs onto it. happy days i ordered a new chassis today for it. now im after some advice in which the best way to replace the chassis? on the bottom i see load of screws, what i was kind of hoping for was an easy way to " transplant" the insides into the new chasis. could i do that? i know the ESC is double sided down along with the on/off/set switch.. could i undo all the screws on the bottom ( making sure i keep tabs of what screw goes where ) and kind of "lift" the insides out and line it all up in the new chassis? or do i have to go the complete rebuild way? looks like i can undo screws and lift it all out, but i wanted expert advice. any help would be appreciated
  7. Hi people, new here, so try and be nice lol ive been a helicopter man for years. own a T-Rex 700N and a goblin 700. fly 3d most days. currently got into cars again after a few years of putting my nitro in the shed. got an electric strada DC evo brushless for me to play on in the hall when weather is not so great. got a quick question for people who own a maverick Strada DC evo or know info on them what size wheels/tyre sets can i get for them? ive been reading up on it the best i can with not much info about, 3mm offset? is that right?. would that mean i can purchase road tyres for touring cars or on ebay with a 3mm offset? or is there other factors to consider? also the bodyshell, although the bodyshell from stock does look nice, i want a BMW or something nice on there i can customise my self. i think i read about 200mm size? not too sure what that means but hopeing other people can assist me in bits for this strada i can customize. engine wise etc i will leave as is, just shell, wheels etc is what i want to change / customize thanks for whoever reads and thanks in advance mods move to correct section if posted in wrong section Thanks again Edit, also what is the hex size? 12mm? ( for tyres / wheels )
