  1. Guess I shouldn't have included previous swaps. Basically I have a stock bullet setup. Flux shot motor and V2 reload. Option #1: put in savage xs and put stock xs setup in sprint 2 flux so I can run 3s Option #2: put straight into sprint 2 and leave xs alone Just asking which would be more of total upgrade?
  2. Sorry, how do I delete the post?
  3. I have a hpi vorza flux that runs the 2200kv with 6s and it is awesome. I bought a C1 apache and wasn't as thrilled with its performance so I replaced its 2350kv and 4s setup with a vorza setup. Now it is equally awesome. I am in the process of putting in the original apache setup into my bullet flux mt but am on hold waiting for wr8 chassis to arrive to do that whole swap at same time to better my bullet. That will do me for awhile but I have a perfectly good setup from the bullet. Reload v2 esc and flux shot motor that I run on 3s. Here's my question. I have a sprint 2 sport flux that runs a 5900kv motor on 2s and a savage xs that has 4000kv with 3s esc. Now should I take the bullet setup and put into savage xs. And then xs setup into sprint 2 so I can run 3s in it. Or just put the bullet setup straight into the sprint 2 and leave the xs alone? Not like it really needs upgrading. It is silly fast on 3s now. Just wanted to get some opinions And yes I know I will be changing pinions out
  4. Thanks man. I just started RC's about four months ago and dove in head first. I like to work on and upgrade them as much as I like to drive them. My kids love them so I got us 3 1/18 MT's for Christmas and they are a blast!! Thinking I am going to get the Apache and pass that system into the bullet, bullet system into the xs and figure out a way to put the xs stuff in the 1/18 mini recon!! (Would be awesome but last part is a joke). Then would just need to find the baddest combo I could to go in the apache. Thanks for the time of answering my questions. Always nice to hear someone else's opinion
  5. Ok so the 8t is ordered but I guess I will start looking at options for motor/ESC change out. I have few of these brushless vehicles and all are stock motors and esc. Would there be a way to maybe change one of the bigger ones out and kind of pass down to the next one as an upgrade. For example if I changed both in bullet could I then put it in my savage xs and would it be an upgrade? I have Vorza Flux, Slash Ultimate, Bullet Flux, Savage XS and Sprint 2 Pro/Flux. I am also looking for a Apache Flux to replace the Slash. If not able to do this what would be the ideal motor esc combo for the bullet. And yes I run 2s and 3s Thanks
  6. Ok just ran my newly rebuilt Bullet for first time. Run great, very fast and low. Have better shocks ordered to get trucks stance up some because nose of truck is diving when let off throttle. Probably always has but is more noticeable now that it's lower. Was very happy with all except the noise of the steel spur but still very pleased. Great top end and still good acceleration. Now for bad part, after ten min of running stopped to check and motor is too hot to touch. Never had motor issues before. Here's specs as stock and now Stock: 54t spur slipper clutch 10t pinion 3.2" wheels Now: 46t center diff 10t pinion and 2.8" wheels I thought I would be close to same with all changes but obviously not. What am I missing? I don't mind sowing it down some to ensure my motor doesn't run too hot. Am I going to be able to adjust this out with pinion or have to change spur or tires?
  7. Thanks man. I am in US and live in south GA. I have bought many things from Dollar Hobbyz and just ordered those shocks. Appreciate the extra effort on the help. Will update
  8. Could you give link to shocks preferred for bullet? Did you go back with 8 or just 4? I can see the bullet stocks making it into the savage xs!
  9. And so far only down side to WR8 conversion is fact that it uses steel spur gear so it's much pounder than used to be. Got a 8t and 12t pinion ordered also to play with my final gearing as the WR8 conv changed my spur from 54t to a 46t
  10. All done, for now anyways. Can't get pics up on post but updated gallery. Full alloy suspension TBR front and rear bumpers with wheelie bar Modded battery tray to hold 5000mah 3s Cvd's all around 2.8" traxxas stampede wheels and tires Hpi sf-50wp servo WR8 center diff conversion with motor mount Rebuilt and shimmed diffs both ways Let me know what think
  11. The wr8 center diff has 46t spur and bullet had 54t spur. How will that affect my truck? I want to leave spur as is and adjust the pinion for performance. I never liked the spur gear going through bottom of chassis
  12. I got some work done on the bullet today. New WR8 center and mount. Rebuilt the front and rear diffs and attempted to shim the diffs. I removed the diff from case and took out gear and pin from input shaft. Added three small shims around shaft to reduce the play in and out. Figured this would push the small gear up in order to make more contact with the bevel gear. Now I see where I was suppose to shim the diff over to the side?? Is it not the same? Also put on some smaller Stampede wheels and am playing with the body height. I am liking the low body look. Let me know what you think How do you put picture onto post here? Have added couple into a gallery
  13. Thanks. It is completly torn apart and I have all my parts in for the WR8 center diff and motor mount. I don't know what you mean by shim differential? Now I'm thinking I may order WR8 chassis and turn my bullet into a truggy. I do like the wheels and tires on yours. I have savage xs also so smaller wheels would help
  14. Thanks. Basher front and rear bumpers on wAy!
