  1. If your still breaking in it will idle erratically anyway. That's what I found on break in. Just check the gap is about 1mm and you should be fine
  2. Starter boxes are the way forward. My engine is fairly new. Starts in seconds on a starter box even when it's cold. Don't give in. So much easier than a pull start.
  3. Patience is defiantly the key to getting this engine run in. But when it's done it's a joy to use!
  4. It's great fun when you get it going. Check your idle gap is set to 1mm-1.5mm and it shouldn't then try and run away. It will idle badly whilst your running it in so don't worry too much just try and keep it running.
  5. Me and my mate both got one of these. He snapped his pull starter 2 days in and mine is still going strong. I guess if you left hanging over the exhaust it would melt but can't see what else would cause it.
  6. Broke it , fixed it, broke it some more. Great morning of bashing
  7. Hi mate. Have a look through my thread too. I have the same car and have had some problems so if you look through that I may have already answered some of your questions.
  8. Mine is making this noise. Sorry to bring up a old thread. Would this be that the LSN is too lean? I sort of guessed it was too rich and it was loading up with fuel. I can rev it a bit and it will clear.
  9. Hi. Do you still have these?
  10. Hi mate. Wjat do you have left now?
  11. Hi mate I'm from Portsmouth. I'm a newbie but have recently been playing in havant at broadmarsh. There is 2 of ys both with hypers. Having a bit of fun getting engines right. We could arrange to meet up with you over the next couple of weeks if you like. You might be able to help us out too! Cheers
  12. Would you sell tools, spares and shell? Sorry just noticed bit at the end. Would be interested in everything apart from car if you do decide to split
  13. The other thing I always think of when paying for postage is the other options I have. Like driving to a shop. Will cost me about 3 quid to start my car then parking on top. Plus I don't have a hobby shop near me. 3 quid for postage is reasonable I think. And 6 is good for next day.
  14. To be honest as I was writing it I realised how easy it is to work out. I think my tx pauses at zero and then carries on apparently so will try that a bit late
