  1. Since i so far didn't see any 195mm bodies, 200mm it is then. Thanks, again. As usual.
  2. Just a brief question, since i only looked it up for the TT01, do i want 190mm bodies on this one as well, or would 200mm the size to go for?
  3. After reading up a bit, i do agree that this is the better choice, even though its a bit more expensive than the TT01 (and almost exhausted my budget) - now it's time to read up on nice shells for my gf to paint, wheels&tires, charger and battery (i might have that covered already, will most likely ask again before buying though), etc. But cheers and thanks to all of you guys
  4. Awesome. The price is alright as well - looks like i'm about to become a proud owner of a MS01D. Yay. ^^
  5. Would be cool, he still didn't answer (or actually read, if i can trust my phone) it. I'm really excited now, now i want this thing even though i still have alot to figure out. Especially "waterproofness", and the light system. I have no idea about either of them.
  6. Thanks for that tip, sadly at the moment no luck there and Ben Williams has still to answer.
  7. Will send him a message right now, thanks alot.
  8. Just briefly, since teshi is on their racetrack today.. Have a lookout for me if someone wants to sell a used MS01D, would ya? After doing the math, it adds up a bit steeper than i thought it would (since i need basically absolutely everything), need to cut the price somewhere. That is, if you read that in time.
  9. For starters I like to get it running before I fiddle with adjustments lol.
  10. Will check that sale then, if the RTR doesnt come with a Lipo cut off esc, that would be my next bet. Also, saw your skyline shell, nice paintwork on that one. Yeah, thats what im planning to do. Rip it apart and puzzle it together again, cant wait yay. ^^
  11. Definitely going for the MS01D now. Now I just have to see what the RTR comes with so I can start getting the rest. The normal Tamiya 190mm bodies should fit, right? Because I really want an AE86. About the used stuff, could you give me a small list of what youre going to sell? Might be an option for me, but since I still have to Google everything, I kinda need some time to figure out if and/or what I need. Again, thanks alot guys.
  12. That would be really nice. And, yeah. I most likely would, basically after every drive, knowing me. Well, i made up my mind now, now i just have to figure out a couple of things, since there is kinda no point in getting the MS-01D S. It comes without motor, ESC and all that stuff, which would add so much on top that it kinda would be stupid to not go for the RTR version. 2channel Tx only means that i have to put a switch on the car somewhere for the lights, i can live with that i suppose (not to mention that i have to read up on that stuff first anyway, i usually get way ahead of myself -.-). So it basically is the RTR version with 350z shell (my gf loves it), and for the battery, well.. I have to wait for you to answer if their RTR ESC supports them. I just hope it's not too much for the stock motor that comes with the RTR (don't even know what kind it is). Thanks alot though. Also, where is their track?
  13. That's still 95% assembled, isn't it? I agree, the RTR version is quite alot of value for the money, but i really want to build something from scratch, also my girlfriend really wants to paint a shell (the RTR ones come prepainted). The Pro Version is a bit steep pricewise, so it would be the MS-01D for me. That also would need ESC, motor, and basically everything (the S version), do i see that right? And the other question, the ESC they use in the RTR Kit, does it have the LiPo cutoff thingy? At the moment i'm living near cardiff.
  14. First of all, thanks for the response Okay, so the MST-01D it'll be then. Read about MST alot in the last couple of days, didn't think that it was for beginners though. Just.. I don't want a RTR Pack, i want to build it "from scratch" to get at least a basic understanding of what i'm actually doing, what belongs where etc - will make the (inevitable) future repairs alot easier. At least in my mind. Keep in mind, i never had actual contact with something rc'ish except my TV. .. Another reason is, that the remote in RTR packs is only 2channel, and i want a 3channel because at some point in the (near) future i most likely will add lights, which i want to control from the remote. And another thing, as far as i can tell they're beltdriven, that's not so awesome for "outside-drifting", is it? Maybe stupid questions, but my head already is smoking and i basically know nothing about this specific chassis now.
  15. Hey, as the the topic describes, i am absolutely new to RC drifting and RC in general, for that matter. I'm sorry if questions like mine come up often, but after a couple of days now (more like weeks) of googling, i still don't understand a couple of things. First things first, i want to go for: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamiya-subaru-brz-tt-01de-/rc-car-products/376968 as the basic start https://www.rcgeeks.co.uk/radio-control-car-parts/Radio%20Gear/Radio%20Sets/RC-Radio-Control-Carson-Reflex-Pro-2-LCD-3ch-Transmitter-Receiver-2.4ghz for a transmitter and receiver I thought i'll check the webs for all the things i need, and then just order everything in one go - which led to a problem. Battery. I read alot about LiPos, so i checked up on those and i actually found one i "like", this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__19692__Turnigy_nano_tech_4200mah_2S2P_40_80C_Hardcase_Lipo_Pack.html - but i have no idea if it actually is usable with the rest of the things i got. Again, i'm sorry if alot of stuff was asked already, but since i am a complete beginner, meaning that i actually had to google what an ESC is, and what Tx/Rx means (like, really basic stuff), and i lost the confidence to figure out things on my own. Sadly i'm on a budget, so i can't really afford to screw up with those things.. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Greetings from south wales
  16. Hey, i'm a complete beginner to rc drifting (and rc in general), with no knowledge whatsoever. I thought it would be the smartest thing to start basic, after a couple of days of googling I think a TT01ED (kit) is not the worst choice. I'm just not entirely sure if I should go for a D or ED, any ideas? Thanks in advance.
