  1. thanks I know the Traxxas Fiesta body will fit but sorry to say I don't like fords much lol, I am just looking for a audi or a Scooby body shell. but these Kalahari \ Kemora have a odd wheel base of 210mm I think so only a small handful of body shells fit them even with a bit of modding . I will carry on the quest,,,,,, but if anyone spots one please let me know what ever it is just in case I like it. thanks
  2. will this body shell fit my Kalahari eBaY item number: 191207759610 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rare-R-C-Fiesta-Mk3-Dimma-style-shell-/191207759610?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item2c84dedefa&autorefresh=true Kalahari = Length:13.18 in (335mm) Width:7.08 in (180mm) Height:4.57 in (116mm) ( the Kalahari inc the body shell ) centre to centre of arch cut outs 210mm I THINK..... body shell on eb = Length......................................... 315mm width........................................... 165mm Height......................................... 100mm centre to centre of arch cut outs 200mm arch cut out......................... height 40mm thanks as I am after a different body shell for it & this is a old shell so it might be a rare thing to see on the above truck. kenny
  3. i know some company's like that who try & make it harder for the end users to look after there own kit. never mind at least you asked for me , so if you can get anything what might help me out & what might be worth keeping in my tool box please let me know.
  4. cheers as i am quiet person overall but on forums i can & do get carried away lol at times just wish my grammar & spellings were better . however the truck will be with us on fri & i am heading down to see them on thurs night. so over the weekend i hope to have my Kalahari & his truck out for some fun & a laugh too . also my ladys ex was a bit of waster due to him liking a drink more then her or his own kids ! . i have another main hobby too & i hope this new found rc love will keep me going from the same old same old things in life, new hobby new out lease on life plus new folks to chat too & maybe meet one day at a track etc.
  5. oh right I am new to this Kalahari truck as I have had it a week but I have not had time to use it once ! thanks to work lol see what you can do but if you get no joy then no worries as i can always get there hardware kit if or when i need too. also yes that's them the flange locknuts are for the wheels 3mm size still trying to call the parts by there proper name. cheers kenny
  6. hi how about a set for my KALAHARI ? & can you get the flanged wheel nuts cheap too ?. the parts list is here = http://www.vaterrarc.com/ProdInfo/Files/VTR01001_Manual_English.pdf they do a VTR215000 Hardware Set. thanks
  7. some nice footage there what a lovely place that area looks, plus no titties or boobs in sight. she is one crazy chick you do not want to meet in a club \ bar !, so thank god I am 40 & not in to clubs \ bars anymore.... well only if I am with my better half . just hope the lad sues her ass for the cost of his top & if she cut his month I hope he got checked out for some nasty bugs..... as far as I could tell he was not in the wrong or doing anything bad just someone with a heli thingy having fun flying about taking some cracking video's of the landscape.
  8. sound I will nip down there in a week or 2 with my Kalahari & see how the thing goes if the track is not under water that is lol. cheers
  9. what the,,,,, silly woman or what. maybe she had to much pop
  10. or should I get a cheap 1/8 ELEC buggy this time around & use it
  11. Well folks here is my unused body shell from about 8 years ago !. The shell was for a Hot-Bodies Lightning 2 way back in 2006 !, but I sold up just after I got the shell from Outlaw Graphics ( or I think it was off them sorry folks as I can not fully remember ). My user names on forums were back then & still as at times = Subaru Swift, as I drove a sti v4 Scooby ( greatly missed by me ) & my last name is Swift so maybe I should get a lightning 2 rolling buggy & just show off the shell more.
  12. that's wicked ! would love to see that being made & how cool it must have looked from a birds eye view or even a rear quarter panel camera.
  13. I have to say when I spoke to him on the phone last night as I am in stoke & he lives at Bromsgrove I could tell he was very happy indeed, & he was smiling all night until bed time his mum told me. so I think I have done the right thing getting this truck for him to use as like you say it will help with his coordination & motor skills. plus he is left handed & at times he does not know how or which way to hold things, even if we tell him to hold things how he likes or what ever way is best for himself. the only thing is he does not have many friends in or out of school only 1 girl what he as brought around for tea a few times ( fair play to him for having a 'girl as a close friend ) & the younger next door kid but he is a bit younger then ant, because most of the younger people near to him & my girlfriends can be little toe rags saying it nice to him, all because they can not understand how he thinks or why he does some things a bit different from them. he does go scouts now as next doors help run it & he loves it so much he can not wait till the next time he can go what is cool. I have known him & his mum for just over 5 years & I see him as my own son in a way as he is a good lad who sees the world a bit different but that makes him him in a nice way. my mum used to work with the mentally handicapped for many many years so I grew up with a sort of understanding about this sort of thing. he is still going through tests still to see what so called labels ( the powers that be words not mine ) he might have & Asperger's might be one of them too. because he as got small traits of a lot of things but not a lot of one or 2 strange I know. but they are working with him & us a lot nowadays, not to began with I might say to help him live a so called normal life & maybe stay in a public school when he gets a bit older too. sorry to rant on but I think it helps me to write about him at times for some strange reason well I remember them grasshoppers as I am 40 dare I say it but I got more in to air rifles & I still am...... .
  14. just back in to this hobby so no real places as yet sorry to say, Sainsbury's car park well the missus goes shopping lol. but now I have got my step son a truck I will be on the look out for somewhere asap maybe a state park etc near catshill.
  15. I am down Bromsgrove way most of the time these days.... my better half lives that way.
  16. many thanks & I have ordered one of them battery's all ready early on today for my Kalahari as folks on another forum rate them highly so I guess he will be lending it for his truck now ha-ha plus the 45 min run time is great on these little fast go all most anywhere trucks. however if it makes him happy & enjoying the fresh air then it will be worth it. because you know first hand it can be hard at times to try & get them to enjoy things, he is a great lad most of the times but a handful at others but that's life for you the rough with the smooth..... . I will get a lipo alarm from the bay & a swap over converter cable too, as I don't feel up to changing connecters as yet until I get more in to the hobby myself. thanks kenny
  17. I am thinking about one of these for my step son who is 11 years old but he as got adhd and autism plus sensory issues !, so it as got to be strong as it might get thrown or bashed about by him at times. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ecx-1-18-4wd-ruckus-monster-truck-rtr/rc-car-products/379344 however I see it comes with a battery but I would like to get another 1 or 2 with it so it gives him more time out having fun, & I see the connectors are ec3's what my as yet to be used Vaterra Kalahari uses. so can I use my battery's inc lipo ones 2000mah 2S 30C LiPo with this truck ?. or where can I find some other battery's just for him to use with this one. I see modelsport does a Voltz 1600mah 6-cell 7.2v Straight Pack but with a Micro Connector. can I get a lead to make this battery work like a Micro Connector to ec3 lead. thanks

    RIP

R'I'P Rik as he was so funny in a lot of things & in my eyes he is one of the UK's most funny men. I wonder if the other great funny man greg davies will play rik in a film about rik mayalls life.....
  19. just seen this thread so I am asking if the track is still open these days ?. as I only live 3 miles from it well when I am in stoke that is..... . also if it is open do I just go there or do I need to speak to someone ?, thanks
  20. I ordered one of the Overlander Nimh Battery Pack 2/3 AF 1600mah 7.2v Premium Sport W/EC3 for my new Vaterra Kalahari, but modelsport rang me & told me they are not the right spec what they ordered. so they modified the battery for me to fit the Vaterra Kalahari but they said they would not get anymore of these above batteries to carry in stock, as they are not right on the spec or size front.
  21. it cuts off near the amp rating on the battery all I did was go in to the Nimh charge setup & put in 1.6A then the charger stopped at 1569 'charged capacity'. oh I forgot to the 'maximum charge capacity that will be supplied to the battery during charge MENU in the Users set up menu' but the charger stopped so I guess somehow it knew the cut off point or the battery was a 1600mah rated one. I have to say I think I worried a bit more then I should have about using the rc6 charger..... well until I charge up my Lipo battery's for the first time soon, then my ass my go a bit lol. the LiPo battery's will be balanced charged as I hear that is the best way to keep then lasting longer & with a longer life span too.
  22. thanks it did beep & the battery was warm but not to hot to hold after the charge. also the numbers went to 1569 therefore I think all is well now so thanks all for the info & help, as I feel better & safer now to carry on & get out on the car\s asap.
