    The hyper it came with was running a 26t pinion and i have 11t-19t pinions spare also.are you saying i could gear this way up ?

    Hi guys, I recently bought a 1/8th brushless buggy with a pretty overkill setup. Castle 1717, Mamba XL2 ( with a castle cap pack, but only 3 of the 4 caps installed ). I'm most likely going to be putting this combo into this As I don't plan on doing 100mph with a hyper 7 lol Besides the motor and ESC currently on there, it has a spektrum SR300 receiver and a HiTec HS-7955TG servo. Should I but a stronger BEC to run on the XL2 ? I'll only be running 6s on the savage also. Cheers for any help

      Very nice. Got my eye on an ST in a couple months. Just a heads up on the 1.0 Ecoboost motor. Ford wont admit it officially, but the engines have a terrible habit of melting, Ford are warrenting them without issue, but the cooling system has a habit of splitting hoses and dumping all its coolant. This results in major overheating and needing a new engine. 1 main dealer alone is doing 3 a week and has been since the engine was released. Just keep an eye on your coolant.

    Yeah she's genuinely interested too, she's drove my cars a few times, an she sees it as a day out together, so can't be bad, but she's like me, a fair weather basher lol Just got to remind her to wear sensible shoes and coat We spent the weekend in shrewsbury, an all she kept saying was we could drove the cars on there, or there, we should have bought the cars lol

    Cheers mate, i wasn't quite sure how the hyper 7 pinions would affect the overall gear ratio, it's all jargon to me that lot is, the hyper 7 pinions have 2 or 3 less teeth on them compared to the ST ones, so wasnt sure if i was over or under geared. I'll order some more pinions and check again. Cheers

    I took my ST out for a good little beating yesterday. I'm a bit worried about the motor temps. After a 5s pack I took the temps an it read 200...I was a bit shocked as I thought the motor wouldn't get that on on this gearing. Specs Leopard 4082 1600kv Xerun 150a Spider diffs with hyper 7 pinions front / back / rear 30k/100k/10k fcr Running on badlands All esc settings are stock 19t pinion Any ideas

    Lol mate do it. The pink looks 20 times more vibrant in person, the camera on my phone don't do it justice, and not girly at all just tint the windows with an equally girly colour to show you're man enough and comfortable with your sexuality to not give a hoot lol.

    You're welcome buddy. Yea same colours as the vid, purely because i love green, and wasn't sure which colours would work properly for the desired effect. That was the first shell i ever painted and it was so easy.
