  1. Yellow compound Mini Pins are very good, i find they offer more consistent grip than the White Rally Blocks and they last longer too. I've found the pins still work really well even when very worn. If you run the 20mm up front and the 24mm rears. The cheap £5 tyres that RCMonkee is talking about are good too. You can't really go wrong with a set of tyres that last for a month and only cost a fiver!
  2. Here's a vid of some A final micro action. We run 5 min heats and 6 min finals with bump ups :D. This was last night's layout that we built, it flowed really really well. The race starts around 1 min 40 if you want to skip. I have a couple of other vids that i'm uploading so will post them here too
  3. Just a few random pictures, i will spend more time uploading some more on Friday . We can pretty much build any layout we want, i'm still pushing for a fire pit one night Like what RCMonkee has said. We race every Thursday evening so if there's anyone in or around Plymouth that has a 10th buggy or a micro them come along down!
  4. I run the new sensored Carisma 5350kv motor in mine along with a sensored Hobbywing 60amp Quickrun esc and the setup is very very good! I ran the Leopard 5800kv motor before and that was good but the new sensored setup is much better. It feels effortless in the way it delivers the power, its incredibly smooth. Yeah we have limited space to really spread out where we race so we try and make it work for the micros and the 10th. Your be surprised how well the 10th go round it though. We should actually try mixing the classes one night
  5. Hi i'm selling my brand new, never used Vampire 7.4v 2000 mAh 50c Hardcase lipo's. These have never been soldered up and are brand new & boxed. The bullet connectors are still in their packets.I was going to use these in my micro for the up and coming Nationals but i've got enough lipo's for it already. These are almost £40 each new. I'm selling both for £45 posted. The full spec can be found on the link below http://vampire-racing.com/2000mah-50...icro-pack-lipo These are perfect the Carisma GTB, EMB-1 or Mini 8 with many of the top national micro drivers using them.
  6. I've decided to sell my skyzone duel diversity V2 fpv goggles as I lost my quad somewhere at mine and have not used them since. I guess they have had about 1 hours use. They are in extremely good condition, near mint. They also come with the carry case and original box and also all the cables. I've upgraded the antennas to an immersion RC and a helicle. Even at long range the picture is crystal clear. Ive been to over 500m with a perfect vid feed. These have never been switched on without the antennas attached. They come with 2 lipo's. I used the extention power lead and ran the lipo's from my pocket so it wasn't so heavy on my face. Both screens are perfect as is the front facing camera. I've tried to get pictures of the screens but I couldn't get the camera to focus that close up. These owe me close to £400, im selling them for £200 I will be sending these via Royal Mails Special Delivery included in the price if anyone is interested in them? Cheers
  7. I will get some pictures uploaded of the racing. This thread is lacking recent pictures
  8. Here's a few pictures from last Thursdays racing, 18 racers in total, it was a good night with a really sweet layout! The link below will take you to our page with all the pictures and some vids https://www.facebook.com/EurotecRCArenaPlymouth/
  9. Here are some pictures from last weeks racing. Click on the link below and your see the most recent posts https://www.facebook.com/EurotecRCArenaPlymouth/
  10. Unfortunately your going to need to stump up around a grand for an old AMB decoder. If you wan't one of the latest RC4's (guaranteed to work with your transponders) your going to need about 2k with the loop etc. It's not cheap. The older RC3's will work but again these sell 2nd hand for around 1k. We run an RC4 decoder, it works with all current transponders including the MRT transponders. Like what has been said, if you can borrow one that would get you running, then you could keep an eye out for one 2nd hand?
  11. Sorry to hijack your thread but it is Micro related Is there anyone with a Micro that's close to Plymouth tonight? We are racing at the Eurotech RC Arena tonight if any of you guys want to come and join us. We get a good turnout of micros and we have some really good races. Track link with info and directions is below. https://www.facebook.com/EurotecRCArenaPlymouth/ I just thought i would ask, you never know where the next micro national champion might be lurking

  14. It struggles in strong/bright light sometimes but yeah indoors you shouldn't get the sun causing any issues. The Bidiford RC club puts a black piece of carpet down under the infrared loop that i think helps to pick up the cars and cuts down on the light interference. The people I've heard that uses the system do say its very very good.
  15. The current RC4 decoder with all the software and hardware that you would need is about 3k but there's a cheaper system that is very similar. If you have a look at http://www.rctiming.com/hardware.shtml your see a similar system that uses infrared transponders. I've raced on a few tracks that use this system and its as reliable as the RC4 system that costs a fortune. For club racing on a budget its very very good. You could set yourselves up with the system above for under £400
  16. For anyone who may be interested we are arranging a date for a Saturday race day, hopefully some time in July so i will keep this thread updated with a date once it's decided The event will be for 10th 2wd/4wd off road and Micro. We will run something like 5 rounds and the finals with bump-up's for the winner of the C and B finals
  17. I think the only way you can get stuff quickly is if you order from someone who shows it as being in stock. All i ever hear is bad stuff about Apex and how slow they are. Apart from my local hobby shop who is very very good with the spares i get from him i will only use MB Models or Modelsport. They have live stock levels. Apex is a game of Russian roulette.
  18. If you click on this link it will take you to some of the trucking pictures https://www.facebook.com/EurotecRCArenaPlymouth/photos/?tab=album&album_id=265817723779890
  19. lol. There's a tank that goes up on a Wednesday evening for when they do the trucking night. The big Tamiya trucks and trailers. If you have a 10th bring that up. I am sorting out my Schumacher KF that your son can use. I will turn down all the end points so its slower.
  20. Hi there's no club cars as such but we could work something out for sure if you wanted to give it a try first :). I've a spare car that he can borrow for the night, i won't have it this coming Thursday but the following week i will (Just waiting on a part). I mainly run a micro (Carisma gtb) but he can borrow my 10th. If you have any 10th cars you can bring one of those down and race. As long as its not any bigger than a 10th it will be fine. Do you have anything you could race yourself?
  21. Hi guys like the title says, this post is about a track we race at called 'Eurotech RC Arena Plymouth'. Is anyone on here that's local to Plymouth that races 10th scale or smaller? Off-road and on-road? Our club 'South West Indoor RC' have been racing at the Eurotech Arena for the last few months and it's been epic, is there anyone else around Plymouth that wants to come and race? We have now taken our rope to the Eurotech track so the layouts are fast and flowing :D. We had a crossover, a table top corner with a drop off and a wall ride last week The Facebook link is below, please give it a LIKE and spread the word and follow us for updates https://www.facebook.com/EurotecRCArenaPlymouth/?notif_t=page_admin&notif_id=1467109948465770 Here's the google maps location below https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Eurotec+RC+Arena+Plymouth/@50.4034277,-4.1654689,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x486c92dc2f604a95:0xb33672ab5e141b8d!8m2!3d50.4034243!4d-4.1632802 We race here every Thursday throughout the year (from 7pm). The off road classes that they run are 10th 2wd/4wd buggy and Micro (Carisma GTB / Losi Mini 8 size). They also run on road Mardave and a truck evening. I'm not 100% sure on the on-road and the setups but ask any questions and we will get them answered I've uploaded a few pictures to wet your appetites :D. We have some epic races, is there anyone around Plymouth that would fancy coming down and racing? Any ability is welcome to come and race. Come down and have a watch.
  22. They hold one of the rounds for the Micro Nationals here. The venue is incredible to race on! They regularly get 80 to 90 cars (2wd,4wd,micro) turn up for the day. 95% of the micro's that run are gtb's
  23. I'll get some pics and vids of the gtb's racing tonight Thats a nice idea you have there with the motor Eugen!
