  1. tamiya dark impact buggy. fresh build and unused. comes with fastrax buggy wheels/tyres, carson dragster esc, 2s 4000mah round case lipo, torque tuned motor, and etronix metal geared servo and handset. unpainted body and original box. just recently built - i was going to get the slipper clutch and convert to brushless but have changed my mind and want to get another TT-02 SR to race with. £140 can post to uk for extra £5.
  2. keep the suggestions coming guys the broader and more more opinions and experiences i see the better.
  3. thanks mate ile give that a go before deciding what to do. cheers
  4. cool thanks lads any more opinions welcome im trying to get as broad of a view as i can from you all. has anyone had any experience with reedy or orion? i always used to have brushed reedy motors like the trisonic back when i was a kid lol cheers.
  5. hey guys ive just bought myself a schumacer cougar KR and want to get a decent motor and esc combo. to be honest its probably mainly gonna be used for fun so no need to follow racing regulations etc lol so recommend me some good ones guys...im pretty **** at soldering so one without awkward terminals is a bonus so at the moment the top 3 on my list are reedy sonic mach 2, orion, or top choice right now is a castle combo. ive heard good and bad things about everything so just need some advice regarding, - ease of setup i.e calibrating etc - power/speed and what KV or turn to go for in a RWD buggy (i want something fast but not so powerful that its gonna do an instant wheelie) - reliability (hearing some horror stories about castle inparticular) im in no rush to buy anything as im gonna get the kit built first. so i wanna do some homework as i bought a speed passion combo and tbh have found it difficult to maintain and use, problematic, and very hard to solder. any advice appreciated.
  6. i have a speed passion reventon S and a 13.5 motor combo, and i have a similar problem. its really weird actually as it doesent always happen. it sometimes runs fine then sometimes it will just randomly cut off all power. i switch it off and on again and its fine for a while. really annoying me and im considering fgoing with an orion or castle combo on my new buggy instead of swapping the speed passion one into it.
  7. another bump any sensible offers considered. ignore price on preloved im open to any decent price or split.
  8. 2 day bump all sensible offer considered. can also get more pictures if needed.
  9. For sale is my Tamiya XV01 pro race roller + all electrics. This car has not long been released and I have only used this car once or twice around a dry field with short grass in the dry around a car park. Please don't confuse this with the RTR XV01. This is the full race roller kit, and I have also added the full set of 'Yeah Racing' aluminium chassis hop up parts as pictured. The car also comes with all electrics required to run. My plan for this car was to get it running with a decent spec and then get used to driving it, before upgrading the electrics to something really fast but alas, I simply don't have the passion for racing these anymore. The fun for me was in the building of the kit - and it has been built meticulously. Having said this the cars current setup certainly isn't slow. It has a Speed Passion 13.5 brushless combo, 2.4ghz transmitter and receiver set, HPI Plazma 4000mah 2c Lipo, and high speed servo, and Core-RC UAC 50 charger (will charge any LIPO pack regardless of power/mah). The chassis is great around a car park with the right tyres, but with the tyres in the pictures, in short grass or gravel there really is no R/C chassis I've ever driven that would get anywhere near it. With the motor mounted at the front its excellently balanced. I would prefer to sell the whole lot in one go, but can sell the chassis alone if the price is right. All in all the electrics currently installed are good for any amateur racer or club racer, however the chassis kit itself is good for any level, and is solid as a rock and surprisingly very light for a Tamiya. If you have any questions or would like more pictures let me know. Here is a link to the advert on preloved.co.uk for the pictures. I'm now looking for sensible offers.
