  1. Ordered a pair of bearings and a pair of wheels yesterday afternoon and they arrived on my doorstep first thing this morning. Couldnt ask for better service than that Top stuff fellas.
  2. Yeah I knew about the MGT 8.0 but same situation. I did think about importing but the wait whilst the stuff was delivered would have drove me insane with no RC to use.
  3. To be honest after the experience I had with my MTA4 S50 I wouldnt buy another Thunder Tiger. Not that I am saying that the S50 was a bad car far from it but after just six months of ownership the spares availablity was practically zero. No one stocked any spares at all. There was stuff on Ebay but if you wanted a gear that was a fiver when available, now you had to buy a complete gearbox for anything up to £100. I ended up breaking my S50 up due to it stripping a gear the size of a 5 pence piece and new ones not available anywhere and I mean, anywhere.
  4. Waiting on Baja parts and no postal deliveries for three days now. Not just my house but no houses on my street have had any and no one has seen any posties on their round. Are they no stroike or summat lol?

Welcome to the new royal snail. If there is low volume of post they will not deliver for up to 3 days, busy times they deliver 7 days a week. Never experienced the second bit but holding of post is regular for us.

We had a couple of junk mail on Wednesday but nothing since. I live on the door step of a park and can see a postie a good way away but nothing.

Disgraceful it was the dumbest thing cameron allowed and there's a long list of dumb.  They under valued the company by billions according to chase bank. I think it's chase or one of the top teir banks. Goldman sachs mayb.

  5. Do you have a window kit fitted? I have the exact same battery mounted on the back of the front window, in front of the air filter. Its a bit of a squeeze but it does fit.
  6. Is the pinion grub screw tight and on the flat part of the motor shaft?
  7. Check for broken front driveshafts and that the pins havent fallen out of the hexes.
  8. Take the bottom off your throttle servo and check the wires are still soldered on properly. I had an intermittent throttle problem where it would keep going to full throttle on its own. Turned out the servo wires were hanging on by a literal thread. Resoldered and all good again and this was the same car Tomahawk ST. As for the 4 wheel drive problem, check all the grub screws on centre drive shafts as they have a habit of coming loose.
  9. Now while I was looking into what bumper to get, I found a picture of a Baja with RPM bumper and four lamps mounted to it. This was just the look I wanted so ordered these and an extra set of lamps. Only the inner parts though I already had the some spare buckets. Once the parts arrived I got them put together and fitted and the car then looked like this Looks awesome tearing around the field in the dark with four lights blazing away at the front. I have the provisions to add another pair back on to the cage which I may do later on. And that is pretty much how it is at the moment. I have got a Proline undertray and a Savox waterproof servo coming tomorrow at some point which ill put some pictures up of when they arrive.
  10. After weighing up the options on a front bumper I decided on a RPM one. And fitted Found my brothers old keyboard stand in the loft and found a new use for it. Makes it easier when hosing the muck of it. I also fitted a Dom-clone pipe, for no other reaason than I like the racket it makes lol
  11. The mud guards are a god send mate, keeps so much crap out. Ive only tried the tyres on wet grass and mud so far. It is really tail happy when the power kicks in but thats half the fun learning to control it. After having super grippy 4x4's with monster trencher tyres on its a whole different ball game lol.
  12. My good mate Rich who runs a 002C picked me up a roof guard from RCModelz, so i wouldn't smash the plug if it rolls and to give me some way of lifting the thing lol. Here she is with Rich's C at Sandwell Valley As mine didnt come with any lights I ordered some from PSF Racing. After reworking some questionable soldering they were fitted and worked a treat. Dicky soldering Let there be light! Also fitted some red leds to the rear
  13. As i've had my Baja for just over a month now, I thought I would start a project thread for it. After becoming disillusioned with my MTA4 S50 the next logical move was a 1/5th scale. Dont get me wrong the S50 was a good truck but in the last six months of the twelve that I had it, spares availability went from common as muck to hens teeth rare in a short space of time. When it stripped a bevel gear and the only place I could find that had one was in Norway enough was enough. I broke the S50 up, sold my turntables and other bits and pieces until I had enough cash. A day or two after placing an order with RCModelz, this arrives I had been running with some Bajas in a club when I had the S50 and had a drive of my mates 002c so had an idea of what to expect. Here she is in her new home in the shed after being run in. One of the first things I did was to swap out the radio gear for my Etronix 3 channel gear as the range on the supplied stuff was awful. After seeing how much muck gets wrapped around the rear arms and driveshafts I knocked up some mud guards out of an old plastic plant pot. Better than paying £8 for them. I also wrapped some Gorilla tape around the wheel extender, so if the drive pin comes loose at least it wont fall out and get lost. Next up I wanted some way of mounting my GoPro on the car. Instead of buying a window set I chopped up the spare mount that comes in the GoPros box. As you can see it worked a treat.
  14. Engine, carb, full exhaust, mount, bolts etc. Everything you will need really.
  15. Hi mate. Yes its still for sale. Engine is in fine fettle. Idles well, pulls wheelies on demand, good compression etc. Its had about the of the big Byrons bottles through it. mike
  16. Now listed on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111823369537?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  17. £150 collected and ill chuck in what Byrons fuel Ive got left and the fuel fillers too?
  18. As I have decided to move up to 1/5th scale I am having a clearout and the first to go will be my V2 Sledgehammer. All parts available. Couple of bad points I need to mention are 1. The gearbox has stripped one of the bevel gears on the spur shaft. 2. Wheelie bar is broken but still useable. 3. Bodyshell is pretty beat up but fine for bashing with. Everything else on it is fine, starter, radio gear, chassis, wheels and tyres, engine, suspension and so on. Proline Trencher X wheels - 17mm hex - 9 months use very good condition - £60 posted Complete engine, exhaust etc ready to fit - £60 posted Gearbox - Needs bevel gear hence £30 posted Rotostarter - £30 posted Radio gear and servos - £30 posted Fuel tank and pipes - £20 posted Anthing that you need off the car just ask and we can work out a price
  19. Clinically cleaned carb when I sealed the engine up. It was spotless to start with but did it anyway. Airfilter has been cleaned numerous times since this started but hasnt made any noticable difference. Hadn't thought of that. Never had the manifold off the engine before so it could be worth a look. Thanks for the replies fellas.
