  1. It's all about the ductility of the steel/alloy used I imagine, cast is certainly not as ductile therefor crack easier,
  2. Just wandering if anyone else runs with a DDM fast pipe, If so what do you find the pros and cons of them over the other more popular pipes?
  3. I wonder if that's why they come with billet tr crankcase's now?
  4. Ouch that's a sore one thunderwolf, was it the Tr crankcase?
  5. Yip just been unlucky by the sounds of things, As for 2-speed, you need to find the right setting and then use loads of threadlock and leave it overnight.. Runs sweet and no problem, I haven't had to touch mine for a few tanks now
  6. Oho, I can't find that link, Also I'll see if I have time to post pics of what the 30.5 has done to my drive train, Seriously it just ripped it apart.... I think once you go over the pro stock 5.5hp engines it's only a matter of time dude, really is
  7. Well I'm just speaking from experience, I seen the 27.2 advertised. I'll see if I can find it.
  8. Hmm well I can definitely say the OBR fm 30.5 lr is better than the Obr fm 27.2 long rod as I've had both, 27.2 hasn't nearly enough bottom end power compared to the 30.5 And for the drivetrain, well I've snapped 4 heavy duty drive shafts in the last 2weeks, and I'm waiting on the super heavy duty ones which should arrive today. The standard gearbox (plastic) was striped of its threads and split apart Oh and why are obr now selling the full mod 27.2 longrod for
  9. I have found blackbone 2-speed brilliant, easy set up and make reliable, plenty of threadlock mate ;-) I personally would never go bashing without 2-speed, here is a video of mine after just being fitted, sound really sweet when it changes gear http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9J4KNSMMh-Q
  10. If you are going to drop a OBR FM 30.5 long rod in, you will need the TR alluminium gear box, super heavy duty driveshafts, uprated cups (phatdad), blackbone 2-speed 18/56 & 22/52 minimum for the drivetrain. Them Badboy engines will find all the weakness's in your baja real quick. I'd seriously think on getting one as the torque rips it apart. Definitely get the 30.5 over the 27.2 as it's a much better engine
  11. So does the blackbone 2-speed also fit the 5ive's?
  12. Cheers mate, a bit of sense being spoken, but has anyone dropped a OBR 7+hp engine in them, as speaking from experience the
  13. How do you think it would cope with a 7+hp OBR long rod engine in it? I'm pondering between losi 5ive t & 5sc,
