  1. Don't get one of the cheap blue ebay jobbies. Mine puffed after about 10 flights.
  2. Installed 4 new motors and a new shell for the hubsan x4. Its like new again. Great little toy.
  3. New red and silver shell and 4 motors for the hubsan x4.
  4. Snapped my new hubsan x4 shell on one of the arms. The original red shell was very strong but my hong kong jobbie from ebay was crap. Just ordered a new one and 4 new motors for
  5. Hi all I have the orange GT3C, it works fine but has the incorrect voltage reading issue, even fully charged it shows a reading of about 3.8v, if i flick it on and off a few times i can get it up to 4v but its annoying when after a charge you turn it on and get a low voltage bleep, then have to turn off and on a few times to get rid of it. I emailed flysky 3 times and they dont even reply, very annoying. i know its a cheap tx but i like it and would happily keep on using it if i could purchase the part from fly sky. Anyone had any luck with them?
  6. Snapped a center drive shaft on my Merv running 3s. Spares on hand so a cost free repair. Lost a c clip from the rear of my n4tec conversion which allowed rear and side belt to slip off and roll the beast at high speed. No damage and spare c clips to hand. All in all a cheap day but not a successful one.
  7. My last bttt. If no one wants it I will keep it.
  8. Stripped the hubsan x4 and installed 4 new motors and a new shell. I am a pretty good solderer but its bloody finicky and not the easiest job to do but worth it now.
  9. Little rubber feet for the x4. I lost one and its really upset the balance.
  10. Played with my truggy flux and hubsan x4. No breakages. Sweeeeettttt.
  11. Didn't bring me anything by post but I did get some Jaffa tape for tyre taping. This stuff is epic.
  12. Damn you all. I wish I lived closer!! By the way. My favourite pub ever is the cons club in perranporth. Roll on holidays next year.
  13. No diff problems apart from day 1 shimming with the Merv. I still have the original diffs 3 years on. Rcbutcher was joking about how many diffs I have blown on my 1/10 brushless revo. That thing has blown about 15 to 20 main diff ring gears in the couple of years i have had it.
  14. Lol. Thanks. Arsing traxxas and their diffs.
  15. My merv blew its stock esc a few weeks ago so i opted to upgrade, i went for the Castle SV3, i didnt realise that the new ones dont have hard wired motor wires anymore, they have 4mm bullets. I had the bullets but not the space to do the usual sideways mount that most folk do when they do this conversion as it would stick out through the body shell. Instead i opted to swap the esc and rx around and get busy with the dremel, i am pretty happy with the results. The battery tray under the new esc is now for the wires and switch as i wanted these out of view, i wanted the install to be as clean as possible without sinking the esc into the chassis which i hate the look of. I ran a 2s pack through her tonight, neither the esc or motor got hot, barely warm infact. this upgrade is great, the sv3 is also punchier than the stock traxxas esc with the bonus of being compatible with the castle link, i had to tame the brakes as it would flip over under the sharp braking. i didnt realise the velineon motor had so much more to give. Anyone tempted to do this i can highly recommend the upgrade.
  16. All the advice given regarding disposal of lipos is good solid advice. When I say bin it I obviously mean correctly and safely, the bin men have a right to safety too.
  17. I have resoldered wires onto the lipos when then have snapped off. I am comfortable with wiring and soldering though. If you know how to check your work with a multimeter you wont go wrong. Re heat shrink afterwards. I wouldn't hack out faulty cells though. I don't fancy that at all. Bin time for that bad boy.
  18. You will love the x4 aj. I am hooked on mine. The range is amazing and on expert mode it's pretty nippy. Good purchase. The postie brought me a castle sv3 esc for the Merv. I have already installed it. It's epic.
  19. Hi Guys, thanks for the interest. as a few of you have requested i have attached a few more photos. This is her as she stands today, i will give her a good clean before i post it to which ever one of you buys it. Regards Mike
  20. Hi guys, i am looking to sell my erevo, see photo: I have recently put new diffs in the revo too as they blew a week ago. i am selling to get myself a dji phantom. She has full rpm arms and the tru track system on the back, single steering conversion and summit arms all the way round, also not in the photo are the original talons. The proline tyres on the truck in the photo have no inserts and i use them for general bashing, the talons have pretty much all the tread left and no tears. The shell is not in great condition but its in one piece and has a few repairs with shoe goo, its a start though and will get you running. This has the castle MMM system capable of 6s and is a total shredder on 6S. (insane!) 2 minor things are the rear chassis brace mod and the engine mount mod that involves a long bolt and nut to stop the motor shifting and ripping the spur up, very cheap and good mod. This erbe is in used condition and is not in new condition, its been run and looked after but if you want a shelf queen this is not for you. I am after
  21. Thanks for the solid advice mike.i will go for the fc40 and a pair of the 4000 lipos.
