  1. Cheers guys, it works again. The duel rate was set to 0. The end points are set to 100% what should the D/R be set at? Thanks again
  2. The throttle is fine. expo, EPA? what should they be set at?
  3. I've tried a brand new steering servo and a new receiver but still no steering so has to transmitter related. Any help please
  4. Wanted new or used Baja parts anything really, tyres, wheels screws, suspension, alloy parts anything. Let me know what you have.
  5. The first thing I did straight out the box was remove the roll cage for access and thread locked all necessary screws. The 2 screws for the engine cover mounting on the bottom were I'd say only finger tight so it's defo worth checking everything. Before attempting fitting the kill switch I ran the engine and all was well even the throttle servo at this point. After this I found that the positive coil terminal was broken after fitting the kill switch, the reason for no spark. Spare servo and carb borrowed from another model and everything seems good now (can't give it a proper run till Sunday) The standard car off the KM was a walbro 668. I remember last year I bought one of these from Freeprawn racing which was faulty but slightly different symptoms, they replaced it, after that was spot on.
  6. The carb and servo were sent off today. I stuck another carb on last night and will try again soon. Is the 813 carb a good upgrade and is it chokeless? Link? Thanks
  7. I gave RCModelz I ring today and they said to send back the servo and carb for testing and they'll send out new ones to replace. Yes the carb is a genuine Walbro 668. Whoever said that the Yama is a better model than a KM is mad !! I've owned my Yama for 8 months now and only use it on Sundays and the amount of spares it's had is unreal, I've added all the parts invoices up from Mattys Models and it come to
  8. KM Baja 002c. First thing I did was thread lock the usual areas also fitted a kill switch. Couple of days later it was time to test and run in but Ohhh no as the throttle servo packed in after testing on the bench The coil also gave me problems to begin with but seems ok now. After nicking a servo from my Yama buggy it was to the field to begin running in the engine, this went well for 30mins until it starting bogging so tried tuning for ages but no look and now after 20 seconds of running the engine will cut out if on the throttle as if it's starving of fuel so I'm thinking a faulty carb? Any ideas on the carb situation, I think it's a 668 that's fitted but may be wrong, the same thing happened on my other car which turned out to be a faulty carb. I'll be ringing RCModelz tomorrow about the faulty servo so should I mention the carb as well as I really don't think it's a tuning problem? Thanks Ryan
  9. All sorted now after getting a spark from bodging the coil and changing the throttle servo as that also stopped working my new KM is ready to go The air filter was completely full of fuel and engine was flooded so that's the reason for not starting. The switch blade kill switch works perfectly. Highly recommend and a must have for any 1/5 scale. Thanks Jolly_roger_uk
  10. Cheers. I took the coil off and messed with it, now I've got a spark and an even stronger spark with a NGK plug. Still won't fire though? was running perfect yesterday so dunno what's happening. Also the throttle servo is a DUD luckily got a spare so Rcmodelz will be getting a call Monday morning.
  11. Right after more fettling I got the switch blade working, the light stays solid and flashes when the ch3 activated Result! But the engine will not fire No spark any suggestions?
  12. All the above is done and checked, I soldered the wires to the kill switch wires. I've tried starting the engine with the switchblade disconnected but no spark from the plug so must be a faulty coil?
  13. I received the switchblade kill switch and fitted it last night and all it's doing this morning is flash so the engine won't run. It's wired correctly but I think I've got the set the transmitter but don't know how. It's the KM-GT3B. Any help please as I wanted to go use my brand new Km Baja 002c properly after running in. Thanks
  14. I have a yama buggy which bloody breaks every outing, today the diff broke so just wondering if any other diff would fits? as the diff outputs and drive shafts are very very weak and these have been changed many times due to an increase in power. A new diff is
  15. Where is this mate? We've been to a 4x4 off road track today along side Leeds/Bradford Airport and it's really great there but would really like to go to this site.
  16. Buy mine It's a little rough and need work but cheap with 2.4ghz gear. Mutilator 2 I think but not too sure Ebay item number 321231055624
  17. Here for sale is my Hobby Pro/Carson Attack which is a clone/copy of the FG Marder It has a 23cc Zenoah engine very quick, well known engine with spares and upgrades available everywhere The engine starts up every time and runs perfect. 2.4ghz Controller and receiver, Included is 1 battery with new charger so ready to run. Not so good bits: No rear mounts or roll cage for the body shell. (easily made) Body shell cracked split in bad shape 1 of the rear shockers is broke so cable tied for now Rattles from the gears but doesn't effect the way it runs All in all few bits will need sorting but if you just want a petrol car for bashing then it can be used as it is now. Ready to go with batteries etc can be seen working upon collection. (In the pics there is no exhaust but it is now fitted back on) Crossgates, Leeds. Any questions call or text 07863931289
  18. Well I've had my Yama buggy since May and to be honest it's been a ball ache with little bit breaking each week. I had a problem a few months ago which turned out to be the piston ring then lost a piston clip which destroyed the cylinder head and piston but recently it's been great. I've never had to change the suspension arms only the drive shaft and couplings as they're pretty week. Recently I fitted a Walbro 668 carb and the exhaust broke so it's fairly loud but goes like stink!!!! I was out earlier today with 2 FG Baja's and a Hpi Baja and all cars were on par and mine sounds great and with the first time out with a 15kg throttle/brake servo and the brakes are great too. Unfortunately today I had a run away which really wasn't cool, the battery went on the car at full throttle so no way of stopping it. It went around 3 football field lengths and luckily stopped upside down in some long grass, only problem was a blown tyre which were brand new last week :'( Could someone please help me with a link to a kill switch suitable for my car. It has the 2.4 ghz there is a spare slot on the receiver CHA 3 I think. so how would the kill switch work. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks
  19. I can't find a cylinder head for sale now, piston and ring are easily found but not the head
  20. Ah good yes it just had 1 pin clip still in place, bottom end looks good with no wear
