  3. Slow does not equal boring.You will soon realise that driving a crawler takes skill and perseverance. I have a coarse in my garden and have it set out so most of the obstacles are right on the limit of the capabilities of the car,it makes for some really tense driving.Old dry stone walling is a good source of building materials.

  9. Gobsmacked!!! What an interesting thread..... I have had a Mk1 and Mk2 Mexico's,Daytona yellow and Signal orange.I also worked at F.M.C. Dagenham,they had a building the called the the "hush hush" where they did a lot of their initial R.S development .Needless to say I spent quite a bit of time in there (helping out)
  10. The Canadians who are probably at the cutting edge of crawling are now making their crawlers as lite as possible.

Easiest way to sort out the standard Maverick suspension,is to take two or three of the circlips and put them all on the black spring.Takes two minutes and virtually eliminates tork twist.Most of the so called "mega low"looks are simply lowering the body shell as far as it will go,after first moving the necessary bits below the level of the battery tray.
  12. When cutting these mountings be careful with the centre one,if you cut it too much you will end up with a whole in your diff,mind you it is handy for putting the grease in.

      The original meaning of the word was to treat someone or something roughly so it seems suitable for what we call "Bashing".
