  1. Strange that for nearly new engine, I would drop engine out, remove plug, remove pull start and see if engine is still tight, if it is remove clutch and try again, if its still tight then its internal to the engine, time to strip down and look for damage, carb or exhaust off lets u see the piston skirt, new gaskets will be need to rebuild too. If its that new maybe ask about warranty too Cheers Dave
  2. Not a fifth scale but principle is same to maximise coil set up, gap is 0.3 mm feeler Cheers Dave
  3. Check all the head bolts, carb bolts, exhaust bolts are tight, disconnect the kill switch completely, check the coil wires are undamaged including the plug cap and remove the throttle linkage. Check the carb settings are somewhere near the factory settings, turn up the idle and try again. 2 or 3 pulls with choke on then choke off to start it. If u flood it, remove plug, turn upside down and pull pullstart a few times. Shine a torch into cylinder to look for damage ? You can put a drop of petrol in cylinder, replace plug and try too, if it starts then it may point at the carb, are the petrol lines on the correct way ? Cheers Dave
  4. 12 thou is 0.3 mm and 25 thou is 0.6 mm if you have any feeler gauges, sorry used to working on american ***** machinery. Cheers Dave
  5. Check the coil gap, maybe it dropped, should be 12 thou of an inch, check plug gap should be 25 thou of an inch, try another plug, unplug killswitch and try too. Cheers Dave

  12. Thread lock is definitely your friend on DBXL mate, strip out all the grub screws in the drive train and lock them back in, should be good to thrash after that. Upping the diff fluids to 50K front 100K centre and 30K rear seems to help mine handle the Zen 320 too Cheers Dave

  15. If you hold the brake on the TX and push the failsafe button on the RX until it flashes it will reset to brake on. Channel 3 EPA should be 100 % both ways too. Dave
  16. Monster diff locker for Losi DBXL or MTXL with 2 new bearings . Just for clarity as shown in picture there is a small bit of wear where the previous owner fitted a gasket, when drive pin is engaged correctly there is no play. £15 plus p&p Cheers Dave
