Finished this last year but forgot to post on here. Drives great cheapo 2650kv gives 41mph on stock gearing 19t pinion HW BL150 esc and that servo has been swapped for a JX Servo PDI-HV5932MG Coreless 30kg servo which is 25.2kg 0.12 sec/60° @6v BEC output. Has anyone found out which other Steel spur's fit the Center diff? HB D812 has been mentioned as sharing some design with this buggy, my plastic spur is fine no problems so far but only running 4s on the 2650kv motor . Nice build I need to get mine done too, servo's pretty quick I'm just deciding whether to go coreless or brushless 32kg 0.10/0.09, oh you do know that's a fake Castle motor right? The box is wrong and the model stamp is the wrong way up they're not too bad if you only paid £25 for it but sucks if you paid a real motor price. ``o=o¬ it will look like that when I'm done lol

I've just done this mod to mine I only went with an extra 2mm (43mm) to save having to dremel the diff case, just waiting on a servo to drop through the letterbox so I can set it up Cheers for the info Geeza ``o=o¬

Anyone know what pitch the pinion is so I can gear it up a bit struggling to find a 44t 46t 48t spur gear but may check with a mate to see if a Hyper 7 one fits looks quite similar but need to check the bolt pattern etc Cheer for any help got all the bits for the build now except batts may follow the stop motion vid that's pretty cool ;O) RCYAL8R ``o=o¬ RC Car Club

Good thread and good read lots of helpful info guys I've just got a RB E One R kit to build up.. I already have a Hobao spider diff with a 46T Spur on I'm hoping this might fit and so sort out the gearing on the stock pinion/diffs... Look forward to Building it once I've got a motor and ESC sorted that 6 pole looks good. For ESC I think I'll go with the Hobbywing 150amp Quick run to keep it all waterproof just undecided on Motor choice and need to save up for it anyway. I've just entered the world of 5th scale so all funds have gone for a few months, but should be ready by the spring/summer RCYAL8R ``o=o¬ RC Car Club's Gaz ;O)
