  1. My tgs with fs-12s gp motor Goes well enough. Just not as quick as my electric. But good and heavy and a lot like a real rally car :-)
  2. I've just turned mine into a mad rat. :-) its a nicer shell
  3. Can't believe you've sold it. You were my inspiration. :-/
  4. I'm 32 and only just starting out in nitro. I've got a Tamiya mighty ballista. It's stupid quick with only a fs12-f engine. I've got two tgs subaru's which are both fs-12s and neither are as fast. (Wierd?) I've always been electric bound and I've got all sorts my best is my hotshot (vintage but mint) and my best basher and quickest (and cheapest) was my ansmann mad rat. It's cost roughly
  5. I'll post pics of it soon. It looks a lot worse for wear than it did in that state. It's been robbed of parts for a vintage hotshot build I've been into. :/)
  6. That is epic!!! What a mint build and one if the hardest paint jobs to pull off and you've nailed it. Personally I'd have done one of roger clarks cossack but ari's rothmans is a lovely job. It looks a million times better than the silver purple
  7. I has same problem with my are-2 went in the loft out the way. But like a cheap tt01 copy. Too heavy though. I had a 5.5t with 7.2v stick pack only did one run and chewed it :-)
  8. The tamiya plugs tend to overheat then melt. The denser plastic on a deans doesnt :-) The tamiya plugs tend to overheat then melt. The denser plastic on a deans doesnt :-)
  9. I second the photon. Its an awesome combo. With a lipo its rapid!!
  10. Etronix photon 9.0 and either a 2s lipo or as i use a 3s lipo the 3/4 is amount of cells and relates to voltage. Change the crappy tamiya plug for deans or equivalent and your well away. Ive been running that combo for ages and it never fails to amuse/amaze it'll run for about 25min depending on the abuse you give it. Nothing like wasting a tank of smelly noisy nitro fuel. (Not knocking them as ive got a tgs .12and a kyosho with a .21) but i think lipo are so much easier to use. Oh and that combo is availiable on ebay for
  11. Hi guys. I've just bought a tamiya tgs chassis of eBay but its missing the tank and throttle linkage Has anyone got any parts or a used chassis I can buy I will PayPal fees paid. Cash waiting
  12. Thanks dude. I didn't think many would like because of the obvious. I just don't want to damage my 1986 hotshot
  13. It's miles out lol!! Needs a full rebuild.
  14. Here's both my hotshot and Jekyll together
  15. My Jekyll I could get hung here but I hope you all appreciate the reasons and effort gone into this. It's a team c Jekyll but I'm an out and out Tamiya fan. I love my hotshot but its: A fragile B expensive C rare in its condition So I've commuted an r/c felony. Hope you like :-)
  16. I'll second sicoe there. My runs weren't full throttle as the car spins out if I try. I've never done a full throttle run up to yet. Fun trying though :-)
  17. If you actually see his vid he didn't run it just benched it and ruined the tyres. Mines actually run and didn't.
  18. I've got the fastrax arrow. I've heard they're not good at speed runs but I've managed around 60 with mine on with no problems. They come preglued and so far they're holding out. I'd recommend foams for a real high speed run though. Mines on a 9t photon with a 3s
  19. I've got an alloy prop and full bearings kit so it drifts awesome. Even on Tarmac, mini pins or slicks. It's got alloy prop, hubs, c carriers, steering, hub pins and a one way so it's pretty bulkier proof. Only ever stripped gears cos of a faulty esc (ezrun) it was stuttering on full power so kept jumping gear. Made a right mess. So I got the skyline gear set and locked it with blu tak and put full bearing kit in it. Works a treat. A bit like a stronger version of a tt01 now.
  20. Thanks tony much appreciated :-) Can't wait to get her back to running state. Thinking of getting a etronix photon 9t as that's what my race car has and it's been really reliable and quite fast. It took the 5.5t quite well so should be fine with a less aggressive motor. Project me thinks :-)
  21. My escort cosworth TA01 with kyosho sticker set And hpi te37 wheels 3mm offset front 6mm on rear Not currently running but was running a ezrun 5.5t motor with 7.2v stick Chassis has nearly all alloy upgrades available. Hope you all like :-)
  22. Ive owned a zero and i absolutely loved it. Its basically a trf clone and with the right setup it can really fly. Id look out for a second hand one. Mine only cost
  23. It's only there got show as I use brushless but I love the retro look. Thanks for comments :-)
  24. My on roads: Tamiya ta01 escort cosworth with kyosho sticker kit, tamiya ff01 vectra and tamiya f103 Williams Renault.
